Bern had one horrible match and now they suck? Anyone who watched the Tappara match knows that they were far from being horrible.

Ya well, I don't know if tappara is a great team but I saw the game and Bern played well but they didn't gave their best. Anyway now that Jokerit is gone the SM Liga is nothing close to the SHL. I expect either a swedish or swiss team (forget about Chloote and SCB) to win the CL.

Well Tappara have three guys who played in the finnish WC team among others, how many guys from the swiss leagues would make Team Finland? yeah. Jokerit was a lower mid tier team in Liiga and you would know this if you followed the league. Kärpät is the biggest favorites to win the CHL as they are the reigning finnish league champions and the strongest team now that Skellefteå lost almost all of their top players.

Maybe the favourite from the finnish leauge to win CHL, I wouldn't say they are the favourites of every leauge.

The majority in Switzerland doesn't claim NLA to be the #3 league worldwide. We know about the strength in the north. But tbh the gap isn't that big anymore, we saw ZSC doing well against Färjestad who were playing the SHL's final round.

And no one in this country have no idea how that even happened. But seriously, they sucked and they still do. It was embarrassing seeing them in the final round, they performed quite good against Toronto Marlies during olympic break though but lost after SD. Frölunda and Växjö were the only teams in SHL that could at least upset Skellefteå a little bit, but just a little bit because Skellefteå were crazy good.

European league team rankings

Last years Skellefteå would've been the favorites easily, crazy good team.

Finnish MTV's favorites to win

1. Kärpät
2. Färjestad
3. Växjö
4. Tappara
5. Frölunda
6. Zurich
7. Luleå
8. Zlin
9. Lukko
10. Köln

If I had to bet my money on any Swedish team I would go with Växjö.

Ya it might be. I've never said a finnish team couldn't win this thing, they're part of the elite of European hockey. But a German team could win it as well.. Who knows :naughty:

It could be any german, czech, finnish, swedish, swiss. The difference between these top teams is quite small imo.

It could be a team from EBEL for example. At the end, it could be any of the participating teams.

Anyway, I hate the rankings...

And Petter Emanuelsson - San José Sharks
Alm was our best defenceman and the others were 8 of our 9 best forwards, most of whom were dominating in SHL. Practically had 3 first lines. Good times. :(

(Though Bellemare will return if he doesn't make the Flyers.)
