Post-Game Talk: Chicago Blackhawks at New York Rangers - January 3

I'm so sick of the Blackhawks. They're becoming one of those annoying "wanna punch them in the face" teams like the St. Louis Cardinals or Dallas Cowboys.

Rangers need a spark. I think it’s time they let AV go. The extension makes it impossible, but it’s the way to go.

Not sure they can afford to get rid of Nash with Kreider out.

Problem is the refusal to give ice time to guys like Buch, Zib, Shattenkirk, etc.

Without Lundqvist, this team is easily a bottom 4 team.

AV man...he’s gotta go

We can get rid of Nash and you won't even notice he's gone

That was bad really bad

Mcdonagh horrible as usual
Smith lost
Skjei turnstile
Zucc absolutely horrendous
Desharnais see zucc
AV brutalized on home ice by Q
Nash blowing too many chances
Hayes fast and Grabner sitting on the bench for pp2 while Vesey Desharnais are out there is laughable

The continued insistence from AV to give Vesey so much ice time is maddening.

Especially when he has Buch and Zib glued to the bench when a goal is needed.

Incredible game, chaps.

Horrendous in the D-zone, just an absolute cluster-f***.
Hank was brilliant, the 4th line looked ok and Skjei was pretty good. That was about it for me. Hayes did some nice things as well.

The gap between McD's good games and bad games grows ever wider. If you had of asked me at the the start of the season whether we should look to trace him, I would have called you crazy. Now, I'm not so sure

Smith in the 2017 playoff beast like one i've rarely seen in a blueshirt. Physical, nasty, competent, quick. This year a shell of that. Makes so many brain dead plays failing to get the puck deep when skating it out of his zone. Hope its not the paycheck.

Trading Mcdounagh really isn't insane. He's been pretty mediocre offensively and defensively for the past 2 seasons. He's approaching 30 and is getting worse every year. Build for the future and trade him for 2 firsts and a prospect.

LMFAO AV is by far the worst coach in the league.

Halfway through the season, lets change up the lines which included putting Marc Staal on the right side. What a sick f***ing joke. Three odd man rushes with high scoring chances because of it.

Jeff Glass, 4th career start. Lets pass the puck a lot on the PP. Heck lets pass the puck all game and not generate a lot of shots and crash the net.

Do we have coaches? Or is this pond hockey? What a f***ing joke this staff is.

I dream of the day AV is fired.

Also Miller is flat out trash. Boneheaded lameduck hockey player. Should be traded while we still can get something for him

This was the game to possibly generate some separation between us and the canes/islanders/pens.

I think you're forgetting about the wonderful Claude. He's second worst

I disagree. He’s great on the PK. He creates chances.

Does he make too much money? Yes.

I’m just not sure you would be getting enough back in a deal, especially with his scoring drought. I think you just give him specific roles, decrease his ice time, move him down. Kreider going down hurts.

I wish Vinny would get more of a look, but an injury would be needed.

Truth is, the team just really needs more from its Top 6 right now. The 4th line has been the best 5v5 line now for going on almost a month.

You don't think all the turnovers Nash causes, especially on the PK are a huge help? He has been snake bitten like a mofo with scoring, but he has been an effective player. I see him giving 100% and making mistakes no more than any other player. And he is big and can go against opposing big guys, he has a lot of good qualities. He is not the reason we lose games. You're all being very unreasonable if you think Rick Nash is the reason we are losing games. It has a lot more to do with the goals we give up, also we've been missing Kreider, even though that kid who replaced him scored (and was benched tonight). Just chill the fukk out and look forward to a fun game in Arizona in 3 days. I'm sure they will get their sh!t together after probably doing quite a bit of partying over the holidays.

I’m not sure. This team isn’t good enough to be marking down wins. They just don’t play with the puck enough, or suppress shots enough.

They’re in for a fall, honestly.
This team subsists exclusively on the transition quick strike. There is no semblance of possession play anymore with this team unless the opponent is a slower bottom feeder. Then we can skate circles to our hearts content. Against a competent team, we get owned.

Bring up Vinny for DD. I rather see some energy and someone who can win a puck battle or two. Team is too easy to play against along the walls. Sucks because JT sucks at center. Only reason DD sticks.

Nash came here to score. Right now he's the most expensive defensive forward in league history. That's the problem.
