The story will definitely get out there, its starting to leak its way around now. I just heard from a reputable source.

The story I heard does involve an alumni’s family member and it is juicy, you will understand why he got booted. But not criminal in any matter.

People need to stop acting like the Hawks dropped the ball by not IMMEDIATELY making an official statement to address some ludicrous BS on social media as if controlling what some random morons say on the internet is high up on their list of importance. As if Bedard and/or his family was somehow impacted by the ONE WHOLE DAY that went by before they officially said something. It’s just silly. There was no reason to rush to publicly comment on that nonsense the very second it came out ffs, Bedard isn’t going to be forever emotionally scarred because of this. “They let the rumors get way out of control”….LOL you gotta be joking. Some people are seriously beyond stupid.

Except it wasn’t a one day thing. It was all over X (Twitter) and Reddit for a few days. The original tweet was deleted and resurfaced again once the Blackhawks waived Perry. Then people were like it must be true.

We don't even know what happened? Sure there have been bigger scandals, but it's also a very different world these days in terms of sensitivity to off ice antics.
Especially on The Blackhawks and I truly get that.

Everything I see in regards to speculation of what happened doesn't seem to be overly severe. In regards to the various scenarios I've read, the drunken outburst seems to be the worst one.

Juicy as more than grabbing ass or sexual harassment?

Oh the horror it was all over Reddit for “a few days” man Bedard will never be the same because of those random posters and their nonsense being spewed on Reddit and Twitter…yeah…

Anyone else just popping in here every few hours to see if there's new juice?
I heard about the rumour at work from people not even into hockey the day before,

Then the Blackhawks officially waived Perry, and TSN reported it.

So it was then official to everyone that Perry "went out on a bang" as someone put it earlier.

You will never convince those people that maybe that's not what happened.

Such is life.

Yeah, we all want the juice. Even those of us that think it's probably something else.

Do it being the Hawks they are on a VERY short leash with for what they view as information to release and they can and can cover up

Perry got half his salary as a signing bonus... So let's assume he is retired now... He got more than double his last season's salary for just under 2 months lol

I will say one good thing arising from the Beach incident in that Chicago is held to an extremely high standard. I’m not saying that Chicago alone is a problem in the league, but more along the lines of I’m sure many teams have swept things under the rug, paid people off, etc. Chicago can no longer do that. It’s a start and hopefully other teams will have the same impeccable standards to strive for

No one said he will never be the same. Regardless how you feel it’s still f***ed for an 18 year old to have to read a shitty rumour about a teammate banging his mom. If you wanna go around pretending it doesn’t affect him at all you do that. It’s not gonna destroy him or anything like that but it’s unnecessary stress for him. The organization could have deaded that rumour without impacting their investigation or hurting their ability to terminate Perry

Whether its true or not, I feel really bad for Bedard. Poor fricking kid man. This shit is gonna be a black cloud over his head for a long time. I will say though he seems like an exceptional kid with a great work ethic and attitude so I doubt he lets something like this get in the way of his career.

If it is true, its a piece of shit move by Perry, and an equally ridiculous move by his mom. Consensual or not. Feel bad for Bedard's father either way.

I just really hope its not true and its some other shit.

But can't help but feel for Connor no matter what.
