  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Wow, I really don't think I like this at all for Chi. It's only a year but Greenway is nothing but 4m and a roster spots. 4OA for Byram seems ludicrous...

Another side effect of this trade and contract (if it is true) is that it sets the market for what guys like Bedard are going to get paid now. It's the same situation as what happened with Tavares in Toronto, when the young guys were up for renewal they say what Tavares was making and said "I want more than that". Does anyone think Bedard is coming in below $15 million after this deal?

I am just completely astounded that a NHL team made such an unforced error.

So Chicago trades for Byram, a fourth line cap dump in Greenway, for the 4th overall pick a prospect and another mid round pick.

That is a terrible deal for Chicago, guess they needed to get to the floor.

When Colorado won he was their best d-man in the final games... yes, over Makar. He then could never get back to that level consistently until he got traded. Absolutely a #1 talent when he's on, hope it works out in Chicago.

...Byram shows flashes of a true #1 but can never sustain it for more than an short run, imo...again, he reminds me of a younger, more injury prone Mike Matheson...
