Not sure if the numbers are correct but Byram is definitely very good. He might not be great but he is a very good defenseman.
I don't see it, personally.

Say what?I hope so too.
It ain't gonna happen......but I hope so.
its an ass draft 4 sureIs the draft just ass that everyone trading picks lol
We need to sign Carlsson before this idiot running chicago gives bedard a max dealLeo Carlson and Gauthier combined are about to make a bazillion gazillion dollars
Hell mintyukov might make a lot lol
When Colorado won he was their best d-man in the final games... yes, over Makar. He then could never get back to that level consistently until he got traded. Absolutely a #1 talent when he's on, hope it works out in Chicago....Byram was arguably Buffalo's best/2nd Best defenseman against Boston and their worst (at least of their Top 4) against Montreal...
I think this is what we call karma for the Kyle Beach Scandal finally coming to a head.I don't mean this as an exaggeration, but this may genuinely be the worst trade and signing I can recall a team making if that $12.5x7 number ends up true. Byram is Chychrun minus the shot. You don't give up a #4 pick+ (which includes taking back a cap dump) and sign him to be the highest paid defenseman in the NHL to be a Chychrun-lite player.
I just can't fathom how a NHL team watches Bowen Byram and makes this decision. I don't even mean this as a knock on Byram. He's just simply not worth this.
Watch the D prospect be Korchinski.
Is that seriously the rumored contract...? Holy hell. He can't sign until July 1 so they would have had to give Chicago time to talk to Byram behind the scenes...but even if it's not true, Byram has all of the leverage regardless. Good lord. Well, initially I was pretty hacked off to see Byram in our division, but this isn't so bad...I don't mean this as an exaggeration, but this may genuinely be the worst trade and signing I can recall a team making if that $12.5x7 number ends up true. This just gets worse and worse every time another part of the deal is released lolThis is one of the worst trades in Chicago history
