I’m an outside fan, but I really have not liked what the Hawks have done under Davidson. Either neglecting the 2010 era teams, or just not really surrounding Bedard with any talent.

Moving the 4th pick isn’t bad, and Byram is pretty good but when is the kid going to ever get some forward help? They just drafted Levshunov over some nice forward and now this.

I like Byram - but this is a good deal for BUF. Maybe it serves CHI's needs too if Byram signs long term and rises to be a #1 or #2

It's not smart. It reeks of panic and ownership manipulation of the highest degree. Kyle Davidson has been pretty patient/smart. This is the antithesis of that.

Byram is a great player, I think if given the chance he will be a top pairing dman. If he can become that, then he's worth the 4th overall imo.
