Defensive zone coverage was much better.

Heinola looked good out there.

heinola had a nice game. thought ehlers did too. this Vejmelka guy is insane against us.

The Jets needed this win and easily could have lost. Karel Vejmelka was spectacular.

Ehlers had 8 shots and 17 shot attempts. Connor was closest with 5 shots and 6 shot attempts. Two of Ehlers' shot attempts barely missed the top right corner (goalie's left). Crazy thing is he wasn't just shooting from everywhere, he was creating opportunities for others as well.

Ehlers was on fire - had the motors running
Ville looked more poised in this game and kept it simple - a lot less offensive and a lot more structural in how he played. Smart move.

Hopefully he gets a few more in - I want to see how he does against teams with talent (other than the guy in net).
If he sticks with this type of game plan, he'll be fine - nice game.

Can someone explain to me how a guy like Ehlers who creates so much offence can’t get to a point per game player and a guy like Dubois, with his amazing skill, strength and effort, can’t either?
Yet Scheifele and Wheeler are doing it?!
It’s just not matching the eye test at all.

Seriously I'm getting so sick of this BS ... one second before the game was tied.
Every Jet is watching the puck instead of playing the man.
No opposing player is afraid to go to the net against the Jets soft defence ... even Roslovic did last game and got an assist on the first goal.
Boy do I miss Buff and even Chiarot.
