Mike "Legend" Murphy. Only goalie in NHL history to lose a game despite not allowing a goal against.

I think he's a coach now. Was for an assistant for a women's university team but I think he was doing goalie camps too.

Ya he coaches the women’s team at queens university in Kingston. It’s right by where he grew up.

How has Geekie been this year? Production looks pretty respectable for his first AHL season. What role has he been in this year? Where would you rank him within Canes prospects?

Ned has been nearly flawless since his Vancouver win--apparently it gave him a real confidence boost and a desire to get back to the NHL. It is likely time for him to be in Raleigh next season as there isn't much for him to prove in AHL, especially if the Checkers win the Calder Cup.
I'd prefer to re-sign McElhinney, another goalie (a high tier starter would be great, but it'll likely be in the Mrazek/Talbot range), and then force Ned to steal a spot. If he does, it'd be pretty easy to move McElhinney I think. We can't let our season ride on Ned being ready. Especially if we end up missing this year.

I’m really disappointed that the Chubby jersey isn’t game worn.

I agree it doesn't make sense to count on Ned as the starter. In a perfect situation he would be the backup who could steal the starter's job.
As well as Mr. Azek has been playing, I am skeptical he is the answer. McElhinney has proven for the past three seasons that he is solid, but he can't be counted on for more than 30 games. Depending on the UFA market value, maybe keep both M & M, then trade Mrazek when (I am fairly confident it will happen) Ned wins the job.

Currently 7th on the team in points. Hard to say where he ranks with everybody, middle of the pack for now I guess since this is his first year playing with an already stacked AHL team.

Mrazek definitely isn’t the long-term answer but he and McElhinney have gotten the job done. They’re essentially a bandaid solution.

I personally wouldn’t want to go into next season with one of those two and Nedeljkovic. Hard to ease in a rookie when you don’t have a clear cut starter capable of handling a heavy workload.
