This team is following in the steps of the other Charlotte team that we don't like to talk about. Schedule gets much easier after new years but still a really really bad stretch lately.

This team is pure trash right now. I was hoping for better this season but now they have dipped below .500 after losing to yet another quality opponent. Almost every team is missing key players, so that excuse only goes so far. Defense is absolutely foreign to them.

This is why I never responded to your original post asking me how much I watch the team. I watch them enough and follow the legitimate writers who cover them to realize a dysfunctional franchise. I figured mismanagement would rear its ugly head eventually, doing all the talking for me, and it has. This franchise has a lot to figure out if they want to keep LaMelo around, nevermind winning anything in the near future. I lived the mid 90s Hornets to the Bobcats to the new Hornets. I am not a basketball expert but I can sniff out bad management in any sport and most industries.

I watched the first 3 quarters then turned it off, guess I was bad luck. May go back and watch the 4th now. Needed that W badly, bummed I missed the comeback

The win probabilities in that game were wild. In the span of about 6 minutes, Denver went from a 99% chance of winning to a 54% chance of losing.

(this is also an argument for not taking in-game win probabilities seriously)

Easily beat a team we should easily beat so that's encouraging. Miles and PJ out with COVID but hopefully just for 5-6 days now. Schedule is relatively easy going forward and a ton of home games so still believe this team can make the playoffs (top 6 seed in east; I'm 100% sure we can make the play-in round). Still desperately need a real NBA caliber center though.

Plumlee is useless and the team as a whole continues to not understand what defense is.

They were actually really close to setting a record for worst home loss ever (a record that was set the very first game in 1988), but they did the Tuomo Ruutu thing and scored useless points in the last 90 seconds.

The team needs a real veteran leader superstar, like Paul with the Suns... Hayward is not it. Melo and Bridges and our other promising pieces are still insanely young and have no experience with seeing what it takes to have a winning organization. I don’t know who that piece would be but that’s what we need. Of course a center and some defense too but veteran leadership that can actually contribute positively is the most important thing. I hate LeBron and he wouldn’t come here, but he’d be perfect. Or Giannis or Butler. But none of those guys would come here unfortunately.

Huge win at the Hive vs the hated Milwaukee Bucks. Kept up with this game alongside the Canes game. Solid win from start to finish against the defending champs. Hope they build off it.

On another note, Gordon Heyward has not been very good this year. They stretched Nic Batums awful contract to pay Gordon for 4 years. Not looking like a wise investment but then again, it ain't their first rodeo.

This is also what happens when you play a little bit of defense. What a great effin idea, huh? Now, I'm sure they'll give up 140 next game but we can savor this one. Im not fully on the "Fire JB" wagon but he is no Tom Thibadeau or Billy Donavan. Either defense is not being coached consistently or the players dont think its cool.
