What lead you to that way of thinking?
Was there a certain play where Charlie left grimacing in pain?

I’m thinking that Sullivan wanted to get Sanderson in a game, so someone had to set and either McAvoy was chosen or when Sully came to visit Mac told him he will sit this one out or maybe Mrs McAvoy told Dad he’s a little banged up and could use the rest.

Plausible, except for the fact that he’s in the hospital.

McAvoy was admitted to Mass General last night and the bruins are releasing an update later today on him, so that's where the speculation of a more serious injury is coming from

The fact that Pierre Lebrun is reporting that they are still running tests this morning before making a statement kind of gives me a bad feeling. Didn’t he have a heart issue a few years back?

Not speculating but you normally don't get admitted for a shoulder injury. Ok, so maybe I am speculating.
OK, maybe you are speculating. However, I am speculating with you.

Unless your shoulder has been crushed under a car tire getting admitted for a shoulder injury these days would be really rare.

Hope he's ok.

Trying to remember if his ice time scaled back at end of USA/CAN game.

Red Wing fan checking in here. Yes he according to the internet he had an ablation to correct an arrhythmia (apparently not AFib) several years back. Don't know much else, but am aware as i have have had a few Afib episodes myself that landed me in the hospital so follow and remember these thing when they pop up.

Go USA and good luck the rest of the way as long as your interest don't interfere with the Red Wings. 🤪

Legitimate question, move Carlo, who do you bring in for his replacement.
yep, I was on the trade Carlo train before reality sunk in that this team has nobody remotely close in the system who can eat the minutes Carlo does

He`s had a horrible year but that isn`t the norm, it`s an outlier so I have decided to keep him, his contract is a beauty too

You don't get admitted to MGH for rest.

Clavicle is your collar bone and if it isn't a clean fracture, typically requires surgical intervention because of how close it is to your heart/lungs/wind pipe. I've known multiple people who have broken their collar bone and I've heard the same "I'm glad it was a clean break" line from them all.

With the ribs, it depends on which rib (s) were hurt and how they were hurt. My dad broke two floating ribs years ago and thankfully avoided any kind of surgical intervention but was in incredible pain for months after. Had he broken any lower, he could have lacerated his spleen.

Antibiotics for an infection (probably due to a cut and sweaty equipment) is a whole lot better than some of the predictions floating around

Two days on an IV and there is a chance he plays on Thursday...probably 50-50

Boom

Hoping this

Statement basically says the same thing the insiders have said, on Bruins letterhead.

Hope everything is alright - they don't often give full details but a bit concerning with how vague it is. Sucks that he can't play such a big game on home ice.

Yes. He's had ablation twice. Once in college and once in his rookie year

Mark Stuart had a pic line back in 2010 for an infection. It led to Boychuk taking his place on the roster.
