He should be using his backside the way Subban got Marchand if the shoulder is still a big concern.You ask me it is way easier to avoid head shot suspensions and really jars the opponent.Easier said then done though far as timing.

I get it. But I don’t expect a long playoff run….if they make it and if his injury is the type that won’t get worse by playing one game, but won’t get better without surgery or a long rehab/rest, then I’m fine with him playing Thursday and then shutting it down.

If this was either of the last 2 years, I’d be singing a different tune.

Charlie plays best when he is a beast, as in the CAN game. Charlie is also Mr. Glass-like and does not hold up to that level of physicality, especially when retribution starts.
It sucks, but the best of him leads to constantly getting hurt. Yes, he might play through it, but it is quite impactful on his effectiveness.

The way he’s played though you have to admit it’s upped his trade value.

I’m thinking that Sullivan wanted to get Sanderson in a game, so someone had to set and either McAvoy was chosen or when Sully came to visit Mac told him he will sit this one out or maybe Mrs McAvoy told Dad he’s a little banged up and could use the rest.
