I guess it depends on your definition of "Elite".
He has 668 career points in 833 games = 65 points a season and has played 91 playoff games. There are a great deal of miles on his legs.
I do not consider this elite.
At 31 YO, he has 2-3 years of good play left.
I think you are trading apples to apples with Lindholm for JT.
Would rather trade Coyle and maybe another piece for him.

I consider Pasty an elite forward.

Elite IMO are:
McDavid
Draisaitl
Nathan
Aho
Matthews
Hughes
Sid
Ike
Bedard
Barkov

He has lots of mileage on his legs at 32 YO. Over 900 games played including playoffs.
6 more years of Lindholm or 5 more years of Miller.

You have responded to my post but it appears you didn't read it.

We're playing Jeopardy here. I give an answer, you reply with the question.

Remember, he's tall.

Could take him a little longer.
Wouldn't surprise me at all. I have found in general that most bigger forwards seem to hit their peak after age 26.

Vancouver really struggling to score. Why do the bruins want any of their players? We need players that help the bruins to score.
Kind of why, they’re not an ideal trading partner with the Bruins. On top of that the Nucks are battling for a wild Card spot, I don’t see them blowing it up and trading either of their top two centers in season, unless a top 2 comes back.

I don’t care about his points at the beginning of his career the last 5 years he is a point a game player who plays with a edge. Offensively Lindholm has been absolutely terrible. Not Even 1/2 point a game? Totally agree about the age I would rather a younger guy but getting out from Lindholm won’t get us that.

I think we are stuck with EL, who wants a second line center at his AAV?
Someone made the point that JT is an "Elite" center, IMO he is not.
If VCR wants EL back for JT, I make that trade everyday.

You are assuming VCR wants EL back, what makes you think they want him?
I didn't assume anything, I was just replying to a post, I read it hypothetical, and we were just discussing it, I am pretty positive no such transaction will take place.

They don’t get that we are not a team built to compete and any lame deadline tinkering won’t change that.

Or, maybe they do get it, but don’t want to publicly admit it bc then Charlie might lose more money from hot dogs and beer sales.

I’m betting the former. I’m also betting they are ill-equipped to right the ship.

They’ve been whistling Dixie for years. It’s finally caught up to them.
For years? Just two seasons ago, after they acquired Orlov, Bertuzzi and Hathaway, they had an extremely credible shot at winning it all, just as they did when they went to the finals only three seasons earlier! Also, there's more than two reasons for their current "two paths" stand. 3) they think that Hampus will strengthen their D corps when he gets back, Lohrei will keep improving on the defensive side, ELindholm will get more comfortable, Swayman is looking like his old self, somebody will finally figure out how to improve the power play, and the team will rise to the occasion when desperate, as they did the other night against the Lightning 4) they have doubts the team is deep enough to go all the way, but it would demoralize the coach and players to say so now, when there's still a chance they can turn things around as the Blues did in 2019 and 5) even they are convinced this team can't go all the way, they see no advantage in saying so now. Their chances of swapping aging vets for good draft picks will only improve closer to the trade deadline in March

So you are counting last year's draft where no one has even played in the NHL outside of Celebrini.

Of those 36 picks, only 3 were first rounders: Beecher (30th), Lysell (21st) and Letourneau (27th).

Also, 3 second rounds: Lohrei (58th), Poitras (54th) and a complete miss Axel Andersson.

Also got Lauko with a third rounder.

19 of the 36 picks were taken in rounds 5-7.

That is indeed doing very well.
Count them all. Start at the beginning.

''That is indeed doing very well.''
Oh yeah, in your opinion, how's the future looking right now?

Don't forget the free agent signings. That's on Donnie's résumé too. That's just so you don't forget.

Simply talking about drafting.

Not the future or free agent signings.

Please try to stay on topic.
