If you read, it was in response to a poster who said "You act like Getzlaf always fights smaller guys" - I posted his fight card explaining that in 25-28 of his last fights he was significantly bigger than his opponent. That isn't me saying "GETZLAF NEEDS TO FIGHT BYFUGLIEN, OLEKSIAK, LUCIC ETC" - It was me pointing out the FACT, that he's often times bigger than his opponent. The same thing people were saying about Zdeno, got it?

Again, never said that Getzlaf was a spot picker either. I legitimately don't know where you're getting your information from. I have said time and time again that Chara is out of his league in the fight game. If i'm wrong in saying that, please, please correct me.

Jesus Christ.

That's exactly my point. You suggest that Getzlaf is a spot picker by saying that most of his fights are with smaller players. You don't have to literally say those words to be making that statement.

And then you say that Marchand should accept a fight regardless of the size of whomever challenges him, making that a double standard. Still hard to understand?

But if he takes a player out in a dirty way causing a significant injury to a concussion prone player he shouldn't have to answer the bell? Is Kesler playing hockey if he goes out of his way to elbow someone in the brain, knocking them out for an extended period of time?

I get you, i understand that there are risks to fighting in this game. That said, it looks pretty ****ty on said player for not manning up.

I remember last year (I think last year) Krug stepped into Shaw with a borderline hit knocking him out of the game. Later that game Gallagher challenged him, he fought. The next game they played Shaw challenged him, they fought. Hell, Cooke fought Thornton (a top tier fighter) after he mangled Savard. It's something a player SHOULD do if he steps over the line.

It really depends on the player. You're listing Gallagher, for example. Not really a fighter, is he? If you want to throw McQuaid at him, I'd want Kesler to tell him to go f*** himself. Respectfully. He is not the kind of player Kesler should be allowing himself to get pulled out of the game for. Boston loses nothing for those 5 minutes(and change) and Anaheim is without a damn good player.

Answering the bell is one thing, but doing it in such a way that you're giving the opposing team a significant advantage for that time? That's not smart.

Edit: Yeah, we are, but it's been heading that way for a while. At least this is an actual discussion and not just a slap fight.

Man, I'm referring to him against the Devils next Sunday after he laid a cheap elbow on Johansson concussing him. I'm not saying Marchand should go out there and fight whoever, I'm saying, IF CHALLENGED next sunday he should drop the gloves with whoever challenges him/if they do. If the guy is 5'8'' or 6'8'', he should man up and drop the mitts. I'm not saying he should go out on a nightly basis and pick on Gaudreau or anything. f***.

Good god, man.

I know. You're not understanding what I'm saying, so nevermind.

Back to work I go.

You guys forgot Getslaf just came back from having orbital surgery? Why would he risk getting punched and aggravating it ? Thats probably why Getz was hesitant.. Dude just had major facial surgery to repair bones in face.. lol

Then he probably shouldn't be slashing an already pissed off Chara in the back of the leg.
