Vancouver courting Ralph Kreuger. Bummer because I think with Kopitar and Gaborik he'd be a good fit here, both were absolutely flying under him.

I hope the Kings wait another week before hiring Stevens. If the Hawks get bounced 4-0 in the first round, there is a slight possibility that Coach Q will get fired. If he does, I would love for the Kings to pick him up over Stevens.

I would love Kreuger to come to the Kings. Really good with young players and as you stated, Kopy and Gabby were killing it under him at the WC.

Also just for the Seinfeld references. :)

I was thinking the same thing. I wanted Q back when the kings hired Terry Murray.

Who the hell would want to coach the dumpster fire that is the Canucks? You won't win and two to three years later you'll be fired. I wouldn't waste my time with them.

The Canucks would have been back on their way to relevance had they traded away the Sedins a few years back. Too late now, but that's okay with us.

They are going to be pretty bad for a number of years more after being bad for the last 3 or 4 years.

They haven't been relevant since the King pounded them in 2012. They won't be relevant for another 3 years at least. That's almost a decade of irrelevancy. Benning is an awful GM.

But how about that Bo Horvat kid!!!

2012 - Eliminated by the Kings in first round - 5 games

2013 - Eliminated by San Jose in first round - 4 games

2014 - Did not qualify

2015 - Eliminated by Calgary in first round - 6 games

2016 - Did not qualify

2017 - Did not qualify

Makes you wonder what they were waiting for, or did Vancouver management think the Kings, Shark, Ducks and Blackhawks were going to move to the Eastern Conference. Terrible asset management by a crap team.

Several sources have told us, Lombardi wanted to terminate Sutter in the summer of 2015, following the Kings missing the playoffs. However, AEG owner Phil Anschutz wasn’t on board with the plan and the two decided to let Sutter ride out the final year of his contract (the 2015-16 season) – feeling he had earned that respect and it was worth seeing what would happen the following campaign. When the Kings were bounced from the playoffs in round one about 12 months later, it made for some fairly strained times in Los Angeles. Lombardi and his management team – along with ownership – wrestled with the decision of what to do next with Sutter. Eventually, he was offered a contract extension.

This was pretty interesting from the Mayor article. Never would've thought Lombardi wanted to fire him after missing in 2015, considering all the crap going on that season.

So Lombardi's decision making was even worse than we thought in the last three years...

Mayor doesn't know what he's talking about. He contradicts himself every article he writes. He changes his prediction weekly in every article or podcast. That was he's always right!

Yeah. Lombardi loyalty chip kicked in, even though Sutter let his team blow a 16 point division lead, and was trashed in the first round the next season.
