i think that's the "big money boys" upstairs putting their foot down hard

reserving my judgment on blake til he gets a chance to make some moves, just glad sutter is out
 
The Rob Blake fans can say "get over it" or whatever they want to say, but this team just put a guy who tore the "C" off his sweater in a contract dispute into the role of GM.

Those of you looking for guys to take "hometown discounts" can forget about it right this second. Mr. NHLPA and got to set the bar for defensemen isn't going to be able to make that **** happen.

He might turn out good. **** him though. As a long time fan, this feels like a return to the 90s and not because both of these guys played back then.

It only seems to me that Luc cares about the business side of things. Winning and making money go hand-in-hand, but I'm still completely wary of him. The comments from the LA Business Journal at the start of the season still don't sit well with me.

Wow, Blake over Futa? Wouldn"t be surprised to see Futa get offers from other teams now.

Thank you to Lombardi and Sutter for the Cups. The greatest 3 years in Kings' history, 2012-2014. Cheers for them and I wish them success in the future.
 
Put me in the group that thought Sutter was gone, but didn't expect Lombardi. I'll give Blake a shot, but I'm still not happy about it. Futa should be the GM plain and simple.

I wonder who the new coach will be? Outside of Gallant, the current available coaches don't impress me.
 
Didn't want DL gone. Thought he would stay with the club somehow. Definitely didn't want Blake to take over, and I'm not even a Blake hater.
 
It's a sad day to be a Kings fan, thank you for everything Darryl and Dean. Futa should be the GM and if we lose him because of this decision I will be livid.
 
Not good. Lombardi was a former lawyer, scout and GM. Sutter has been coaching for 20 plus years and was also a GM. Now we promote two former players, one who has only been a brief Assistant GM and the other more of a PR figure.

The big move is the Assistant GM - sometimes those guys are the key.
