To be fair there was a play earlier in the match that PSG nearly scored from but we all ignored it. There was offsides, the situation plays out and the linesman puts his flag up. The referee never blows his whistle and nearly instantly PSG had the ball and won a free kick in a dangerous position. And obviously they shouldn’t have had a free kick.
Lucky it amounted to nothing but it’s not like the referee was completely against them. He made a horrible call that’s it.

It’s like I was telling someone else after looking at some transfer spending:
—La Liga has FFP.
—The Premiership has PSR.
—L1 has…. PSG.

PSG was never able to spend as much as they wanted.
FFP was on their chops (with much less TV rights).
And of course when all the other leagues could spend like crazy, in France we had DNCG. We've had it for 20+years when la Liga has it since 2 years. It's a huge reason why french clubs didn't develop into financial powers while Spanish or Italian clubs could be in outstanding debts and get away with it.
Oh and the fact French taxes are way bigger than other countries.

Only word with some substance is history but that really doesn’t hold up water. Unless you think that Forrest would be a bigger team than psg now. What about city prior to their win? What about Arsenal? What is your ranking and by what metric.

I sort of get it though, for Evilo PSG has already autolossed since they ain't going to Anfield and beating LFC lol. So he has to make reasons of why they are losing. And yes, they got UEFAlona'd yesterday. The match would have been much different if the damn ref did his job and give Konate a justified red card earlier on. PSG would have had 60 to 70 minutes 11v10 and would have done considerable damage.

I think you are being dense on purpose. It is quite clear what he means. PSG does not have the same prestige than clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Liverpool and others. I do not know if that prestige really buys you calls on the pitch, but that's what he is saying, that PSG does not have the same preferential treatment as the traditional giants.
I do not agree that PSG are victims every single year for prestige reasons, but the point Evilo is making is fairly easy to understand.

I’m asking what makes psg less important to UEFA? The word he used was important not prestige. Even prestige what is the hierarchy, what is the metric being used?
How did this importance(?) prestige (?) help Liverpool against Sevilla in the Europa league final? With all those handballs.
I actually think PSG has a chance. Despite being 1-0 up in the tie, Liverpool aren't gonna be as passive and defensive like in Paris. They'll move up, attack and press - and PSG has all the tools to counter them on their day.
Tie isn't quite done yet.

Well, I think it’s probably a foul slow motion definitely does a lot of the work there wasn’t a ton of contact in that bump. I think it probably should have been called but at the same time I don’t think it was 100% needing to be called. I think if we’re using VAR the goal is to change clear and obvious errors if the ref is right there and he doesn’t make the call. Is it a clear and obvious error on something that’s not really 100%? I would’ve been upset that it was called, but I would’ve understood it. I’ve seen them go either way in multiple situations

I don’t think PSG has lower prestige or anything like that. Sure they do play in a lesser league however we’re talking about a club that basically has an international Jordan brand backing around them, at different points in time has had the best player in the world in recent recent history and sure, a champions league trophy would make a massive difference but to act like they’re some small fish and that’s why they didn’t get a call is stupid. I might be wrong, but wasn’t there chairman one of the top guys in UEFA relatively recently? If anything, if that was the case, you’d expect them to get all the favors.

PSG doesn't have the importance of heavy trucks like Real, Barca, EPL teams, Bayern... nothing new.
It's not that important if games are reffed without this bias, but we all know that's not the case.
Hence, the numerous ref scandals over the years.
If PSG dominates again like this I fail to see Liverpool repeat or even get a draw.
And indeed, Liverpool will be tempted to play higher on the pitch, which is great for PSG.

If you add the fact VAR couldn't see a problem with that, it's clear those refs shat their pants to draw a red card this early in a big game.

You’re hung up on the word importance the only language the executives have is money psg generates more than most. All this predicate and history talk you sound like a Liverpool fan.

Yeah, I don't buy the prestige reasoning. Barca was founded in 1899 and won their first European Cup / CL some 90 years later in the 1990s. PSG has long to go before reaching that number of years, being much younger club. PSG's current prestige is fine for current generation of players and refs.
