  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
I'm not a huge Nemec fan but Calgary is setting up a nice D group long-term between Parekh, Bahl, Brzustewicz and Nemec. I am mildly surprised they didn't include Brzustewicz in this deal though, I'm not sure I see a long-term top-4 spot for him now.

Also a bit weird considering they also have Whitecloud too. They're kinda busy on RD all of a sudden.

2 late 1st is a weak return.
Also got rid of Tsyplakov's 2.25M and got an early 2nd rnder

Pretty decent ammunition for a team that should be contending

If Calgary can get Nemec not even to a level beyond what he's shown, but just how he played under lindy ruff they'll make out quite well.

I'm very high on Nemec and have been since he was drafted, I see a lot of Pietrangelo in him. I do wonder what this means for the draft though considering we are so heavily connected to Verhoeff.

We've seen time and time again that there's almost no chance you can move him for a similar return if he doesn't pan out. Which is fine, the upside is there. But it feels like he and Parekh will be stepping on each other's toes.
Parekh is 20 years old. Nemec is going to be plugged into the top pair in Calgary immediately. No toes getting stepped on for a few years still.
