Robertson, Bourque, Dumba for Andersson (50% retained), Coleman (50% retained) and FLA 1st 2025.

Flames 2026 pick is untouchable.Think I suggested Andersson at 50% with an extension in place and Calgary’s 2026 1st with some protection for Robertson with an extension. If Dallas is throwing in Bourque, you could look at adding a name like Farabee or Frost, unless Dallas really wants a Coleman or a Backlund retained.
Dallas needs to save cap, so throwing in the cap dump Farabee makes no sense.Think I suggested Andersson at 50% with an extension in place and Calgary’s 2026 1st with some protection for Robertson with an extension. The trade isn't good value for Dallas, but it's also a poor fit for the Flames. The last thing they need is another high-priced winger. Especially one who is going to be a RFA shortly and could just pull another Tkachuk to get out of Calgary.I'm still hoping that there's some sense where Andersson or Coleman at 50% brings some value to Dallas, especially if we take Dumba back. But it doesn't make sense to move Robertson for that package.
For Robertson? It absolutely would not be. Guy is 25 and above point per game player over his last 4 seasons, with a 100 point season splashed in there. Outside of the top 3 picks that is a massive home run, and he is age appropriate for what Calgary is building. I’d be happy with just top 3/5 protection on that pick for that trade. Calgary just finished 14th in the league with 96 points without Robertson as well, this pipe dream that pick is our savior isn’t realistic. It’s worst case scenario is likely in that 10-12ish range.Flames 2026 pick is untouchable.
Andersson hits on both accounts for what they need. An age appropriate RD that’s played 24 minutes a night the last 3-4 seasons, who will cost 2.275M next year. Dallas wants to shed some cap so they can go big fish hunting to improve the roster next year, while recouping some of the lost picks from the Rantanen trade reportedly. This accomplishes all 3 of those aspectsDallas needs to save cap, so throwing in the cap dump Farabee makes no sense.
Since the only reason to trade Robertson is to save cap, they would want cheaper players with term.
Anderson either an extension is the opposite of what they need.
Calgary needs scoring. Full stop. No prospect in Calgary’s system, including ones they’ll draft this year, has reasonable potential to score as much as Robertson does. Stockpiling young guys who won’t be as good as a young guy you can acquire with said stockpile doesn’t make sense. The trade isn't good value for Dallas, but it's also a poor fit for the Flames. The Flames should just keep doing what they're doing - stocking up on picks and prospects and slowly integrating them into the NHL lineup. That way you get a team culture going and develop guys who are more likely to want to stick around.

Farabee I think also immediately becomes a bargain once he steps on the ice for Dallas. If there is any team that gets him back to where he was projecting to be a 25-30 goal guy it’s Dallas, and he can immediately step in to where Robertson was in the lineup. But Calgary can definitely provide cheaper options or just futures in a trade instead.
