What a comically terrible organization. Personnel, coaching, management - from top to bottom they just simply aren't good enough. This team is 14-54 in the last four seasons - just let that sink in. They are going to address that by running back the same coach and GM, because of course they are.

it's in the water.

The Sens, The Redblacks, The Blackjacks, Atlético,

We need better water filtration in this city.

Loosing is probably a bacteria being carried. And it must be getting worse. Montreal is downstream and they have stunk.

Burke says Dice returning as coach. Unreal.
This reminds me so much of Joe Paopao when he coached the Ottawa Renegades. Like Dyce, Paopao was a long time CFL guy who was loved by his players, known and respected by everyone around the league. etc. Like Dyce, Paopao also had the strategic sense that God gave a green apple and couldn't win. This is pro football - you don't have to be nice. Belichick wasn't nice - he just won. His mentor Bill Parcells wasn't nice. Scotty Bowman wasn't nice. You get the picture. Uggggggghhhhh.....

Isn't there a saying, how does it go ... oh yeah ... "Nice Guys Finish Last".

Im going to guess that it wasnt a nice guy that first said that :)

But i dont buy it either. You can come up with many anecdotes about successful jerks but maybe largely because that was the model coaches have used over the years. And when there was a real power imbalance it was even more effective.

But there are many examples of the opposite. Being a nice guy doesnt mean lack of discipline or work ethic. It means getting the team to buy in for each other and push because they want to succeed for each other. Perhaps some players really need the abuse to bring out their best play. But that's a lazy trope i think. We've learned much more about effective coaching over the years.

Nice guys can be ineffective too though. Not because they are nice, just ineffective.

GM from HAM waits 2+ years into the job to finally deal with fans ... for 15 minutes. Came across just like he did in person with me, smarmy, aloof, unaccountable. Hence the colossal failure coaching staff with the exact same attitude as the epic failure GM shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Was at his introductory event in Kanata ... he couldn't have been more uninterested, played on his phone the entire time, clearly uncomfortable around people, even with just 120 fans there, but standoffish from the get-go, a snickering, weird guy. Acklin wasn't any better, was insincere, immature, call it the 100% antonym of Alfie & Hank.

Went to 80%+ of RBs QB clubs 2014-22, STH events, Fan Fests, tons of road games & Grey Cup weeks. Interact with hundreds of fans per year from all markets, plugged in to what is really going on.

Tonight was the first time callers were given a chance to confront the outsider rival unproven GM, who never had to take a hard question, always protected by this leftist MSM - much like an installed president.

As one would expect, it was carefully orchestrated by TSN Ottawa 1200. 20 minutes of ads, thus only 40 mins left, Then the first 15+ were AJ - the installed play-by-play guy - kissing corporate, and with his guy at the command centre to shut anyone down with the 7-second delay. Only one segment with 5 callers - 2 abruptly cut off - then the final segment reading emails. Thus only one useful fan feedback segment in the hour, 15 mins with 5 pre-arranged callers.

GM ducked, dodged and arrogantly ignored intelligent, thoughtful Q’ns from long-time STHs & every game callers Keith, Mike, Randy etc. Doesn’t help with know-it-all AJ cutting off callers, acting as the propaganda chief for OSEG, as the narcissist always does.

GM offered ZERO apology, ZERO shame for pushing a competitive team on the fan base in 2022 & 2023 while delivering the worst team in the league. Nothing more than a snake oil salesman at this point.

Logical fans I talk to 95% say the coach and entire staff must go, and 80% want the GM gone, too. But he acts like he owns Ottawa! So arrogant and out of touch, just like DC.

GM brags about leading the CFL in INTs. Obviously they should be given being on D 65% of the time! This is like boasting about having the most hits in the league in the NHL b/c you’re chasing the puck all game!

GM brought in his other rival HAM boys Masoli, Acklin, both colossal failures. At this point, any logical season ticket holder has to wonder whether this is deliberate sabotage of a rival team while the owners are aloof.

From the diehards I talk to, the postgame shows, chats in the stadium, then everywhere else around town, that’s certainly how it looks to the 90%+ who pay the bills for this 8-28 (.222) debacle under this installed HAM GM.

If your investment advisor gave you a 78% losing portfolio, then had transgenders dancing on the field to make your entire family uncomfortable to add insult to injury, s/he'd be fired immediately, along with all the woke marketing creeps pushing a sinister agenda! At OSEG, they only up the ante every year.

Bad enough suffering through 4-29 (.121) in their last 33 games at home - 4 seasons. But push all this woke crap in our faces, it's really rubbing it in.

Clear tonight all of the RBs staff are living in their elitist bubble, just like what we see on Parliament Hill & the Capitol. Rogue elections have severe consequences, and the middle-class foot 95%+ of the bill.

Burke trying to defend the coaching staff of this team was just plain pathetic. The offence sucked, the defence sucked, special teams sucked - no playmakers, no character and no talent. Claiming this is an exciting team that other teams don't like to play against - really ? What games have you been watching. Couldn't manage even one victory in their own conference. But hey, let's bring the same clowns back to run the show and see what happens. Blow this thing up - Burke included.

Special teams have been good for a few yrs, IMO they have two very good kickers, but everything else does suck.

How are we projected to do this season? I gave up my ST during covid and checked out pretty hard after the whole 2 home wins in like 3 years thing

Not good but not the worst.

We'll see though. 16-10 Redblacks at the half.

New QB Dru Brown 12 for 18 with 135 yards. Ok start. Seems to be providing some stability.

Redblacks taking their time as the rain rolls in.

Smart. Good to play with a lead.
