Also, didn't Wally recommend a GM/HC combo of Goveia and Killiam back with Allan Watt hired him to find a replacement for Sunderland (before they hired Cui)? And the board decided to go with Jonsie anyways?

He didn’t do his interview with JJ yet, isn’t that scheduled for tomorrow?

That said I’d be on board with Killiam about time he got a promotion

The only advantage I see to Campbell over Killam is that I think Campbell has a better chance at assembling the better staff based on the rumors of him likley bringing Maksymic, Sherritt and Killam with him.

With Killam, I'm not sure he gets the same level of support staff, though he is familiar at least with Sherritt amongst that group.

But as for the role of HC itself, I'm perfectly fine going with Killam if Hervey likes him the best.

Yep for like 10 years. He is from Edmonton though. Played for the Golden Bears.

Closer to 20 years in Calgary.

His ties to Edmonton are pretty brief. . He's from Lethbridge but played University ball for the Golden Bears 1997-2001. Once he graduated coached a bit of high school ball in Cochrane for awhile before joining the Stamps in 2005 and has taken on progressive roles with the team ever since culminated as STC since 2010 and Assistant HC since 2019.

That said, I don't think you need every single member of the football operations team to have deep roots to Edmonton football to promote the Eskimo way if their values are already aligned which I believe Hervey would be a good judge of.
