Wow. That’s a very detailed account of that event and follow-ups with players, officials and such. I never saw that article originally being published. I remember watching that game and all the after the fact media coverage. It was quite obvious there was an imbalance in footwear and traction. Seems like CFL officials have memory issues in retirement like some of the players who played.
Love being reminded of some of those old player names - Yochum, Sonny Wade, Gerry Dattillio. That was a great era of the CFL.
Sadly I recall that along with Proudfoot I think Ron Estay has also passed. Absolute warriors and characters.
