Celebrini for Calder

Hutson is great but I just don't see a world where he's a serious threat to Mack. Like most small defensemen, he's pretty solid positionally and has a good stick, but he just gets lost too many times on cycles and obviously struggles mightily in front of the net.

It's little things like this play last night:

He's defending his guy, guy easily shakes him off, makes the pass to the center easily because the forward who should have been defending Miller was drawn to Hutson's man because he lost coverage. Not solely Hutson's fault by any means, but this is the area where he struggles a lot.

I agree but voters do like numbers and big markets. Karlsson won the Norris with gaudy point totals.

If Hutson outscores Celebrini wouldn't shock me if he gets it

I hate Habs fans from the bottom of my heart. So much ego for so little team success in the 21st century.

I much more enjoyed reading pro-Michkov posts in this accent:

Than reading pro-Hutson posts in this one:

(This is a joke. Just a joke. I love everyone. Goth help us when they find this thread)

Greg Wyshynski polled a wide selection of Professional Hockey Writers Association voters anonymously "Celebrini pulled nearly 90% of the first-place votes from our panelists to take control of the rookie of the year race." They have Michkov second and Hutson at third. I personally feel at this moment Hutson should be second and Michkov third.

Considering they play in Minnesota the following night, it would be smart for the team to sit him against Utah (sorry @SjMilhouse )
I hate all of you. They have the next few days off, it makes way more sense for him to sit against Minnesota. Right? RIGHT?!

Knowing my luck I'm going to get a Smith injury sit + Celebrini development day with Georgiev starting who will inevitably pitch a shut out so I don't get to see Utah score, Utah gets an L which further hurts their playoff chances for me to attend and the Sharks win which hurts draft positioning. The nightmare scenario

Oh and I'm sure Vlasic will play and Goodrow will score 2 goals and then get bumped up to 1st line against Minnesota

A 1-0 win with Ferraro scoring the only goal assisted by Ruuta and Thrun somehow.

We forget how many Beanie points are 2nd assists after making a crazy play to set up a cross pass or rebound off the pads. AHL Smith prevents any of that from happening because he cannot make NHL plays even when he gets said crazy passes with time and space.
