Texas with a 3-2 lead. Bourque with a diving poke on net leads to a tap-in rebound goal for Pettersen

2 assists for Bourque

Blumel with another boneheaded play. Delay of game giving Milwaukee a 5 on 3 for almost a minute.

He's been so effective for Texas. Twice the player Damiani is. Reminds me of Dadonov

Some of the scouting reports on him are really encouraging

A few of them seem to think the only thing keeping Pettersen from an NHL top 6 is consistency

Texas is playing 7D tonight no wonder we haven't seen a ton of shifts from Bichsel. Easing him in I suppose

I thought it felt like they had a lot of different dmen out there lol

Kyrou hasn't seen the ice since early in the 3rd. They are just rotating 6 D now.

Are a bunch of the forwards injured so they decided to dress 7D or something?
I think it had more to do with Bichsel being in Texas less than 48 hours and only getting in the pre-game skate.

I bet they were worried about jetlag.

Kind of incredible the AHL gives the lower Seed its 2 home game first in a BO 5 series.

I looked into this last year (I think, maybe it was a few years ago). There are multiple formats and the higher seed gets to choose. Texas chose this format to reduce travel. If you look at Eastern games they typically choose the standard 2-2-1.

As massively favored higher seed i'd never chose to first start 2 games on the road since if you don't win at least one of those road games all your 3 home games will be potential elimination games for you.

Same reason the old 2-3-2 format in the NBA finals often provided an advantage for the lower seed.
