Logical but incorrect take. Seguin was on the team 6 full seasons before Pavs got here. On both teams that lost to the Blues- including the 2019 heartbreaker. If he plays 32 more games this season, he will jump Daley at 6th in games played in Dallas- behind Morrow. He and Benn have been the constants- to overcome all the BS together and win he’s 100% getting the cup. Wouldn’t hate to be proven wrong tho
He's also the only player who's already won a cup doubt he's 2nd. Suter probably gets it before him

Texas is dominating to start the 2nd. Still 0-0 though. Seminoff shot got redirected and went off the post and out

Bäck and Wheatcroft just collided at center ice. Both guys shaken up but Bäck looked worse-off for sure. Bäck came back on for a face-off to start a PK then right back off. I'd assume he's okay then

Pavs would 100000% skate the cup right after Jamie.

And unfortunately Suter would be third

Pavs and Suter have waited their entire careers

Seguin already won one, he'll be one of the last core players to get a turn

Brutallll turnover by Kyrou right in front of his own goal but Grand Rapids hits the post. That was really ugly. Blind no look pass looking for Blumel didn't make it anywhere near him

Damn Stankoven with a great feed to Bourque for a short breakaway but he is stopped. Great chance to extend Stankoven's point streak which is on the line. Under 2 minutes left

Scott Reedy scores into the empty net. Texas up 2-0 with under a minute left

Texas wins 2-0. Stankoven's point streak comes to an end. No points for him or Bourque in what was a very tight defensive battle. Grand Rapids looks like a Bowness coached team out there but Texas still was the better team for sure. Good win for them in a low scoring game

Poirier gets his first career AHL shutout

Seguin is i think the only guy on the roster that has won a Cup before unless you count Wedgewood who was on the Tampa roster as black ace in 19-20 . He won't be getting it particularly early.

Fair enough, I see the logic for sure. But it was his rookie year- what will have been 13 seasons ago this postseason. I just think he deserves it is all. I’m a Seguin guy.

Christian Kyrou is scratched tonight for Texas. That turnover I mentioned last game no doubt has something to do with it, even though Texas did win 2-0 and overall played a strong game defensively

So far a good amount of chances for Texas in this one. Lot looser than the Wednesday game. Stranges, Stankoven, Bourque all creating so far

Beautiful goal by Seminoff for his first in the AHL. Protected the puck, cut across the goal, outwaited Cossa and roofed it. 1-0 Texas

2 goals from Grand Rapids and it's tied 2-2 with 2 minutes left in the 2nd

3-2 Grand Rapids now. Rough 2nd period

Stars lose 4-2. Had some fantastic pressure with the empty net but couldn't score. Blumel's tunnel vision was extremely noticeable there
