I'd like to see some updated weights. I know Jiricek said he put on 10 lbs of muscle. Wonder who else had some gains.
Players don't generally fail medicals, right? This just seems like that kind of season...
Mateychuk also said he was up around 200lbs, Svozil I think was up there too. So the young guys as expected made big progress. Im curious of what Johnson was able to accomplish this summerI'd like to see some updated weights. I know Jiricek said he put on 10 lbs of muscle. Wonder who else had some gains.
but i was told (by a commenter who shall remain nameless) that the blue jackets were morons for not giving him NHL time last season! he could be the answer in goal!Have you talked to Cam Johnson?
Call me a traditionalist, but forwards should not have single-digit numbers. It is Wrong and Bad.
9 is fine, but that's it. 4 is a god awful forward number.Call me a traditionalist, but forwards should not have single-digit numbers. It is Wrong and Bad.
7 works, 8 was pulled off excellently with Ovechkin, I'll have to see how 4 looks before I judge it but I'm not feeling it either9 is fine, but that's it. 4 is a god awful forward number.

It goes back to train travel days. Berth one in the sleeping car was the best, so it went to your starting goaltender (backup tendy got 29, 30, 31, etc). The earliest jersey numbers were usually just where the player fell on the roster list, and defensemen were always listed before forwards. That's why so many retired numbers for Original 6 teams are all low numbers, look at Montreal for example. The convention stuck.I don't know this one, what's the story?
Wasn’t Geoff Sanderson number 8?Call me a traditionalist, but forwards should not have single-digit numbers. It is Wrong and Bad.
I'll agree with you on 4 (and 2, 3, 5, 6). But, I don't think any D-man should ever wear 9.Call me a traditionalist, but forwards should not have single-digit numbers. It is Wrong and Bad.
Going to paint outside of the lines a little, mostly as a thought exercise to show just how "out there" the lineup changes could be.
Gaudreau-Jenner-Danforth
Maybe that’s his projected number on the C depth chart9 is fine, but that's it. 4 is a god awful forward number.
