Takže, súdiac podľa Vincentových riadkov a jeho slov, a tiež Jarmových slov, zostava pre úvodný zápas by mohla byť:

Gaudreau -- Laine -- Marčenko
Texier -- Jenner -- xxx1
Johnson - Fantilli - Danforth
xxx2 -- Kuraly -- Olivier

Werenski, xxx3
Provorov, xxx4
xxx5, xxx6

Merzlikins/Martin

xxx1: Roslovic/Bemström/ Sillinger
xxx2: Robinson/ Voronkov /Bemström/Foudy/ Sillinger
xxx3: Severson/Peeke
xxx4: Gudbranson/Peeke
xxx5: Bean/ Blankenburg /Boqvist
xxx6: Peeke/Gudbranson/ Blankenburg /Boqvist

Všimnite si však, že Blankenburg a Boqvist sú vždy (okrem včerajšieho zápasu, keď bol Boqvist RD) na ľavej strane.

Ak Sillinger, Voronkov a Blankenburg začnú v Clevelande, 4 hráči by bojovali o 2 miesta v útoku a 3 o 1 miesto v obrane.

Martin was fine last game but I hope they're still looking at who might become available in the last cuts. Buffalo, Calgary, etc... A lot of clubs have to cut a goalie.

90% chance he'll be in Switzerland, I'm guessing.
I figured as much. It's got to be the only reason he held out. an AHL paycheck will never compare with a European contract.
Who cares honestly, the dude is really just not that good.
Well, he's a 23 year old prospect who still has potential. No, he was not going to make this team right now with everyone healthy but he was also pushed into playing in the NHL before he was ready. I'm sure he wanted to give it a shot again but the lure of a european contract is probably too much. Sounds like rather than give it another year to keep trying he'd probably rather take the money and go home.

the more I hear pascal speak the more I am on board fully with this hiring.
As long as players buy in an the talk is backed up on the ice.

Babcock also talked quite a bit about how he changed before it all blew up. We just need to see the talk transfer to the team once it starts counting for real.

Our only Dman to settle Gudbranson down last year lol
One thing I am hoping for, as some others have talked about, is that it’s truly a merit based lineup. We don’t need to have Gudbranson in every night if he’s playing poorly. Throw Boqvist/whoever is scratched in. If we’re playing a tough team, you can put Gudbranson and Voronkov/olivier in there for some muscle. But not every game requires 2 or even 1 of those guys in the lineup.

Wishful thinking I know

bold prediction: the jackets put a fairly established name on waivers to send down (one of roslovic, bean, boqvist, peeke, olivier, robinson) and everyone freaks out but the player goes unclaimed.

Today's feeling "if it was me":

Gaudreau/Laine/Marchenko
Texier/Jenner/Bemstrom
Johnson/Fantilli/Danforth
Robinson/Kuraly/Olivier

Werenski/Peeke
Provorov/Severson
Bean/Gudbranson

HS = Roslovic/Meyer/Boquist

toughest decisions (for different reasons) = Blankenburg/Foudy
not as tough decisions as I would have liked (for different reasons) = Sillinger/Voronkov
most disappointing decision made because it's just going to be that way = Gudbranson

Keep in mind:
1) I am not a big supporter of either Bemstrom or Danforth, and I am Jack Roslovic's lone remaining champion, but given how everyone has played and the combinations available, I don't see better ones.
2) I'm not concerned about a situation where Boquist subs in for Gudbranson, although I'd rather have Blanks over either. Boquist creates challenges for our roster if that happens, but he creates some the other way too.
3) Lines 2/3 above are interchangable as far as which is 2/3. Their ice time I expect to be similar, depending on game situations.
4) I don't like Peeke on the top pair but I like him better with Werenski than Provorov.

Well 28 guys because Chinakhov and Tarasov are IR bound. Dumais and Mateychuk will go back to juniors.
