Would love Nelson here for sure. Just tempering the idea of “interested in” because we were the same for Pettersson but turned out we were “never really in on” him although Waddell did “make a call”.

Someone on the trade forum said Brandt Clarke for Lindstrom. I actually like it. Curious how you all would feel about it.

I haven't followed Lindstrom's development much, although when I have looked it doesn't seem like there has been much to talk about due to the injury. I'm high on Clarke though, and the Kings have a habit of trading good D.

That might work - but I'm not going to dig too deep into that thought unless we have more reason to think it's a possible trade. The idea didn't come from Kings fans and the ideas that we have seen from Kings fans are usually cynical jokes about Rob Blake's tendency to lose trades.

I assumed the guy was a Kings fan to be honest. My ears are no longer perked.

Has Hunt, Svozil or Ceulemans looked anywhere close to ready in Cleveland? The list of interesting and realistically available RHDs is pretty damn short.

No need to panic even if Fabbro misses time. 4Nations break is coming soon and meanwhile we can run the defencemen like this..

Werenski - Provorov
Mateychuk - Severson
Christiansen - Harris/JJ

He played four games in the calendar year 2024 and there's no timetable for him to do anything, getting an NHL player for him would be huge since his value continues to crater.

I'm torn on it now that a glimmer of light can be discerned at the end of that particular tunnel. But it's certainly not an immediate no from me.

I refuse to believe Clarke is available. But even if they did trade him, I'd expect the Kings to want a high-impact forward that can help them now in return. Not sure Columbus can realistically offer that.

Lindstrom's value is probably not lower now than it was a few months ago when he was still dealing with big pain problems.

You can call Hunt or Svozil up. They haven't been bad and could get you through some games on the bottom pair. I guess they could find out real quick if they are ready by putting one of them in. Cuelelmens could be out for a while as I have heard he had surgery. He took a big hit some games back and left the ice and hasn't been back.
