As for hyphenated names, we still have TF-W and OJB-H in the system, but I prefer the non-hyphenated LDBB.

Noted, I just get way too much grief from this any time anyone is trying to use any sort of automated system, thanks to the idiocy of other programmers, and so I have a tendency to jump at anything that even distantly resembles a "teachable moment" w/r/t this stuff.

Papa once joked they did it so that my sibs and I would "have to learn a sizeable portion of the alphabet simply to spell [our] own names", but it's also taught me quite a lot about robust systems design and the evils of premature optimization as well...

Especially now. Nylander I was fine with. The Tex move stung then, it stings even more now with a lack of NHL quality forward depth.

Kent Johnson really needs to be freed of Sillinger and put in the top 6. Ideally, I'd shuffle him, Chinakhov/Marchenko and van Riemsdyk around.

I'm assuming they want him playing a role that's already taken on the first.

It's a long season, guys will be up and down. If he plays well enough he'll be there eventually.

I thought ZAR looked pretty good in his limited time.

I’ve become a pretty big fan of Malatesta at this point. Brings enough of everything to be an NHL player. Him and Olivier together on a line would be something.
