Matthews line seems to be experiencing more ups and downs this year, he almost never had off nights like this last year but it seems to be happening with more frequency of late.

They are playing a way different style. Still isn't good by any means but a lot of their shots are from far away and weak.

Neither of them have looked as good since coming back from injury. Rielly too for that matter. If the trend continues when Gardiner comes back he’ll look bad too.

disagree. The line as a whole is much better defensively, they're getting tougher matchups, and they're doing better offensively. don't let recency bias cloud your judgement

Hyman's defense is rather overrated. He's regularly losing battles on the boards against pinching d-men. Tonight, that whole line has ran around a bit in their own zone.

The Marleau-Kadri-Marner line is having a terrific stretch of games here.
