It's not that I'm down on Bittner so much as I'm high on Kolesar. So far he fits the classic late bloomer mold. You can see it in his stats, but it's what was expected of him given how late he started focusing on hockey. He played a lot of different sports growing up and it wasn't until he was 13 or 14 years old that he decided he wanted to go for it with hockey. Jarmo and his team knew it when they drafted him, and said so, that he was going to improve tremendously. That's what happens when you have a kid with tremendous athleticism but raw puck skills. They start catching up with the kids who did hockey camp every year since they were five years old.
