OT: CBJ Board Other Sports Thread Part XII

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Tonight's the night...my Bryant Bulldogs take on the mighty Spartans of Michigan State. You big school fans don't get it, you are used to this being a yearly occurrence but for us small school alum this is maybe once a decade.
Or more.

The Falcons have appeared in four NCAA Tournaments. Their combined record is 1–5. Their drought of 55 years (as of 2025) is tied for the third longest active and fourth longest all time between tournament appearances.

That said, baskeball isn't really my thing anyways.

Yes, I also cheer for BGSU. I went to school there first and foremost.

Yeah, not a basketball fan...even March Madness. But as The Beach Boys always said "Be true to your school".

Bryant's got two players in the NFL, a Detroit Lion WR Tom Kennedy who spends most of his time on their practice squad and a pretty decent backup LB for the Bills "Buffalo Joe" Andreessen and one former Cleveland pitcher who is hoping to resurrect his career after serious arm issues James Karinchak. We do not have a history of excelling in the pro-sports field.

Our most famous alum was Earl Tupper, the creator of the Tupperware empire. He donated 300 acres where the current campus sits north of Providence (it's called the Tupper Campus) and our bulldog mascot is named Ironclad Tupper. I believe he is Ironclad Tupper II.

Oh...and "Coach" from Cheers :)
