one thing Sparty wasn't...was a fluke...they were a damn good football team...

The only thing about Sparty that was a fluke was that they were an on-field opponent of Ohio State that wasn't a complete joke.

Come to think of it, OSU under Urban Meyer is 0-2 when playing teams that are half-decent, and 24-0 against the Little Sisters of the Poor that Gordon Gee insisted that they don't play.

Michigan hires Alabama OC. OSU's offense hasn't impressed me that much other than the talent of Miller & Hyde. Do you guys think our OC is up to producing a more varied offense? If not hopefully one of the young running backs is capable of a Hyde role.

And don't even talk about the D

Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt on CBS, now - the camera angle reminds me of the view from the upper balcony in St. John! Could they get any further away?

Purdue's home football games could probably have a closer view if they were filmed from the blimp overhead.

http://Goal.com reports Sporting KC, Columbus, and Philadelphia all put in 8 figure bids for Michael Bradley

I’m a bit shocked that the #Crew96 were looking to pony up $15 million plus for Bradley. That states it’s a new era more than a billboard.

Glad to see Miller deciding to return to the Bucks.

Really? After his poor showing as a throwing QB I think I'm ready for a change. Take that with a grain of salt though since I'm a Browns fan and I'm used to seeing 4 different quarterbacks every season.

Jay Gruden in new Washington HC.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10267454/washington-redskins-hire-jay-gruden-coach

I don't see this as bad for Cincy.

I thought Gruden was overrated. I think he was hired as a HC by an owner who overrates his own ability as a football man.

I put the over/under of Gruden's tenure in Washington at 2.5 years. I'll take the under. Working long term for Daniel Snyder is probably both impossible and not good for one's mental health.

Good job by his agent of scoring Gruden a 5 year deal. Start planning your highly paid sabbatical starting sometime in 2016 now, Jay:laugh:

the Crew making some noise....

Adam Jardy ‏@AdamJardy 28s
There you go. #Crew96 acquires Hector Jimenez and No. 14 pick in first round for its second-round pick and allocation money to Galaxy.

decent little pickup to help score goals...and got him cheap

For those who miss the unique look of neon green at a sporting event, the Seattle crowd should warm your little hearts!

I think we need an official group to raise awareness of the need for more neon green. Who else wants to be a founding member of "The Neonderthals?"

@Aportzline's tweets reminded me of something

Remember when someone on here argued that the Cleveland Browns were better run than the Blue Jackets?

I'm not 100% certain, but I'm fairly sure the source for that remark was the same guy who insisted Ryan Johansen was a guaranteed bust from Day 1.

Crazy stat of the day: Ohio State, Oregon, Wisconsin and Iowa State started the year a combined 58-0. Since then? 0-14.
