Smart move by Columbus. I think he’ll work out there long term.
On casual inspection, most of them.A rhetorical question: How many teams that passed on Fabbro couldn't make a claim because they were at the limit and didn't want or could send down a waiver-exempt player?
Surprised the Aves passed on him. They need real nhl players.
I’m confused. I thought it was reverse order from the prior season. In that case, only SJ, CHI, and ANA had priority over CBJ.Tbh it makes sense why the 5 teams that had claim priority over cbj didn't do so. At the deadline cbj could very well have another trade chip.
That's how it is to start the season, but then it switches on November 1 to the current season's standingsI’m confused. I thought it was reverse order from the prior season. In that case, only SJ, CHI, and ANA had priority over CBJ.
Wonder how Jiricek is feeling now.Smart move by Columbus. I think he’ll work out there long term.
I mean, most of those was just Lavoie being ping ponged back and forth between Edm and VGK.Sorry, that's the number of total successful claims in the season; Fabbro is the 11th player to claimed this season
Maybe I need a better way to phrase it...
This has absolutely nothing to do with him. Literally nothing.Wonder how Jiricek is feeling now
? google didn't even use to have AI here, how can you compare this AI tosomething that didn't even exist and say it sucks? Just read the actual results instead of AI if you don't like it.I’m confused. I thought it was reverse order from the prior season. In that case, only SJ, CHI, and ANA had priority over CBJ.
edit ok, getting caught up, as this was asked and answered. CBJ would have been fourth had Fabbro been released before Nov 1. In my defense,

Google used to be good, but sucks now.
How is 26 "like nearly 30"? If that's way you round up I'm ancient.
Defensemen typically peak around age 28. I wouldn’t expect some kind of huge jump, but #4/5 play for the next 4-5 years seems pretty reasonable.I mean, in the sense that some people are talking about Fabbro like he's still "young". When the reality is, he's very much crossed that "he is what he is" threshold.
Obviously you hope that he can be a little bit more like what he's looked at his best (as an okayish Top-4 complementary piece), but there's no "upside" or "growth" or anything to realistically expect there. Mostly just more of the same and decline with age.
Which obviously isn't a big liability as an impending FA. Not a big deal. But he's weirdly being treated by some people as some sort of "up and coming" youngster with untapped "upside". That seems unlikely. Even if a rebound to what he was under previous coaching might see him become an effective enough "Top-4 filler" defenceman.
I didn’t like the AI because it was wrong, but I didn’t know that at that time. The results were things like “How a Team Sends a Player to the Minors” and more broad waiver wire information. Interesting to me is that when I regoogled just now the AI gave me an accurate answer:? google didn't even use to have AI here, how can you compare this AI tosomething that didn't even exist and say it sucks? I think the "upside" people are talking about is that he's not actually a healthy scratch/#7D caliber of player like Nashville has been treating him, but instead has the "upside" to return to being that okay-ish #4 regular player that he was/should be utilized as. And there's reason to hope/expect that will indeed be the case, because he's "young enough" that his descent in Nashville wasn't due to age/decline, it was just due to the Preds' bizarre coaching decisions.I mean, in the sense that some people are talking about Fabbro like he's still "young". Sad GMing by NSH..
Trying to catch up to Oilers GM in losing assets for nothing.
It was like 10 teams, and most of them didn't have the salary cap to claim him anyways.Nearly half the league passed on him for free. He was worth exactly that, nothing.
...or caught flat footed by not having the chance to put in a claim because they were at the 23 player limit and couldn't/wouldn't send someone down immediately to get to 22!It was like 10 teams, and most of them didn't have the salary cap to claim him anyways.

It was precisely 5 teams that passed on him. CBJ was sixth in line.It was like 10 teams, and most of them didn't have the salary cap to claim him anyways.
