We are beyond the whole (It's Kopitar's line mates Fault), nonsense.

Kopitar scored 30+Goals and 80 Points with Ryan Smyth as his line mate for an entire SEASON.

Stop parroting that garbage.

To be real here, Smyth was playing pretty well, at least for the first half of that season. I think it was Smyth-Kopitar-Williams, and that line was on fire to start the year.

Neither Gaborik or Brown are good in the corners like Williams used to be. Kopitar really needs a crafty winger he can send in on the forecheck. He's having trouble adjusting.

And that's not to say he can't or shouldn't step up - he very much should. Just an explanation, I suppose. Kopitar hasn't been a singular dynamic offensive threat since 2012, though.

No idea what Sutter should do with Gabo. He is just floating everywhere. It's really odd, he is not doing anything.

I would like to see that again, because it was for a first few games, when everyone played awful.

Lucic looked lost until he move down a line. His game is north/south straight line play and you could see the difference right away. Also Carter and Kopitar shoot from different sides.

McBain played well, he was very good tonight.

In terms of $$ value per solid minutes this guy is a steal.

The other problem tonight Kings got way to caught up in the fisticuffs in the first 2 periods it was a hard game to watch, zero flow to it.

Ya, I think it took a lot out of them by third. There wasn't much in the tank in the 3rd , almost to the point they just skated the period out. Sutter even said they played tired.

We need Smyth back asap!

Dustin Brown is done. He is going down the Mike Richards' I CANT PLAY IN THE NHL ANYMORE route.

Also, someone wake up Jordan Nolan and tell him he is not an all star player. Clifford and Andreoff have been fighting almost every game and Nolan just skates around? Clifford got toasted last year by Boll and this year by Foligno.

But yeah, the one positive of this game has to be the continued strong play of McBain. He is way better than Greene, Forbort and Errorhoff.

Pretty good to have a solid third pairing guy for such a small cap hit.

I said at the beginning of year this roster would look so much better if it was filled with Monarchs/Reign.

It helps that Shore and Andreoff are now everyday players and Stoll, Richards' and Williams are gone.

But it would be nice to see some of these older scrubs who aren't producing get dealt like Brown and Gaborik.

.

Probably should trade Kopi too, because 1 assist [tonights game] in 13 games for your top center.

I do wish the Kings would get younger in some aspects. I wouldn't care if they dealt Gaborik, Brown probably can't be unloaded, but maybe a team like the Islanders would be looking to add a Gaborik type winger who they could try in a top six role and obtain some younger pieces for him.

We should have known Gaborik was going to wear out his welcome eventually happened in both NY and Columbus.

Lombardi gave him that huge deal based on his playoff performance, but we all knew that would hurt us eventually.

No comment on the Brown contract. His is the new MR.

This old ****** team is still leading the Pacific Division.

So you say "no comment" and then you make a comment. Nothing's changed with The State of Johnny.

What do you expect to say? Gaborik and Brown's contracts are awful.

The Kings are generally known for getting great deals out of younger players who become star players, but DL always seems to overpay for established players.

Toffoli and Carter (we inherited this contract) are underpaid.

Brown and Gaborik are vastly overpaid with term.

Look at the term for Brown, Gaborik, and Martinez.

Sadly, I think Clifford might be expendable soon. King is coming back and Mersh is in the wings. If Lucic re-signs, who goes? Clifford and his 1.6 million.

Brown, Lucic, Pearson, King will be the top 4 LW'ers.

I just thought it was funny you said "no comment" and then the very next sentence you make a comment. You bring our hopes to boiling and then you just absolutely deflate us like a New England Patriot game ball.

Kings should have given Gaborik a 3-4 year deal for full market value, rather than a 7 year deal to get a cap hit savings. A 7 year deal for a 32 year old was horrendous. But Dean wanted to get cute and save every penny possible so he could bring back his boys Greene and Richards.

Harder to fault him for Brown, he was 29 and coming off a very good year.
