Sell, gotta mix in a Flyer fan.

still...

buy/sell: One Buffalo fan will find himself arrested 5 times

(I think we need to get back on topic...)

Buy, and his name will be Robert

A Blue Jacket (insert name) will set the franchise record for plus/minus in a season this year (besting Jan Hejda's +23 back in 2008-09)

Sell. Ease the kid in.

Mark Letestu takes a step back offensively leading many to scream he's overpaid and should be dealt ASAP.

Overpaid at 1.25 mil? Easy sell for me. Plus he's improved greatly since his acquisition.

McElhinney starts game 2 vs the Isles.

Sell, Bob loves back to backs.

You will see a Horton/Anisimov/Gaborik line at some point this season (and I did confirm he can play LW during the online chat).

Buy. It will happen at some point unless 1 of the 3 is always injured throughout the year.

Buy/Sell. Jagr comes to Columbus at the trade deadline.

Sell; I think NJ's going to do better than anticipated and will instead hang on to him. Deadline UFA trades don't seem to be Lou's style.

Buy/Sell: McElhinney posts a winning record.

Sell ... I think people are reading way too much into McElhinney's play in Springfield, which was behind a VERY good system.

Buy/Sell: Jarmo makes a very unpopular trade (amongst these boards) early in the season that turns out to be a huge steal in our favor.

Buy.

Buy/Sell: my reaction at the time is to cackle maniacally, then trigger a firestorm by "unpopular trade that turns out better than expected? I thought you guys all told me Jarmo was the opposite of Howson!";)

Buy, and it will most likely be hilarious.

Buy/Sell: to add to that thought, even after the trade is an obvious win, someone fights against it to the bitter end. Even if the Cup is raised.

I'll buy. the 50 will be Gaborik, 40's will be Anisimov, Atkinson, Umberger, and Johansen. Yes Johansen, I feel a big year.

Oscar Dansk has a turnaround season in Erie, and has a good World Junior vaulting himself as one of the NHL's top young goalie prospects.

Easy buy, because I think he was given a harsh critique last year on a terrible team.

Buy/Sell: Markus Soberg has a dominant year overseas, garnering attention from all over and making him one of the top prospects in our system.

Sell, because most people don't know what "dominant year overseas" means.

Buy/Sell - Derek MacKenzie stuns the hockey world with his first career hat trick, and it comes in a major game seen by a national audience

Sell - only because he probably won't get the minutes to make this any less than a long shot. Dude has the skills and tenacity to make it happen though.

Buy or Sell... I liked the thinking about Horton earlier in the thread. So consider this: Mark Letestu plays at least one game as our first line LEFT winger.

All kinds of possibilities open up...
Letestu - Anisimov - Gaborik
Foligno - Dubinsky - Horton
Umberger - Johansen - Atkinson
Calvert - MacKenzie - Comeau
Boll
Skille

I don't have anything to respond to but I was just watching the exit interviews from the guys and got to RJ's and he talked about the move to the east and it got me thinking. Umby's an east guy. He likes playing there. He's always succeeded there. He knows those teams. He's due for a revitalization of his career.

So buy or sell: RJ has a career year in the east.

Sure ya do!

Touche. I didn't really have a guess on that. But I suppose I'll say that I think it's more likely that happens than Jeff Carter stops bleaching his hair.

Which is sad. He could use those brain cells the bleach is killing.

Random Carter hate FTW!

Sell. I'd much rather have focused Carter hate than random.

Buy/Sell: Taylor Hall suffers [yet another] freak injury in the confines of Nationwide Arena.

Sell. The competition wasn't Umberger's problem the last two years. Lack of conditioning, diminishing talent and lack of willingess to play hard in the high traffic areas aren't going to be reversed by changing the uniforms of the competition.

Buy/Sell..... The former GMs ridiculous contract extension of RJU gets erased from the books via an Umberger amnesty buyout next off season or RJU is traded with at least half of his salary retained by the CBJ.

Lee, I'll buy that, since that was basically my projected lineup in the first place. or at least that's what I figured the first line would be.

Duby continues to struggle to put the puck in the net, but racks up the assists.

Huge Sell

We make a big splash at the trade deadline. Sending one of our top prospects (Dansk, Murray, Jenner, Rychel) for a big time player (See Pominville trade)

A qualified buy. I think we make a splash either as a buyer or a seller depending but unless we're getting a superstar which at the deadline is very unlikely (unless its a Gaborik-like situation where there is a conflict with the coach, sub-par year, etc) there is no way those 4 are going anywhere.

Buy/Sell Umberger is made a healthy scratch at least once
