Sell. Hopefully we match Dubi on them, and maybe Calvert, but not Cam. We can't have two small guys on the two best players in the world, we need some size too.

This year's version of the Jackets proves to be the best ever, even winning a couple of playoff games.

Buy. If this team is a playoff team-which I hope it can be-Bob will have to hit at least 35 in the W department for that to occur.
Derek Brassard will continue to shine as a NY Ranger reaching the potential all CBJ fans had hoped for in vain during his tenure in Columbus.

Somewhat buy. I think he hits 50 points, maybe a bit more, but I don't see him getting to 70.

Sell. By midseason, the abuse from the Philly press will have become so brutal that Mason will abruptly retire to become a Tibetan monk.
The Jackets power play will improve from 28th to a mid teens ranking as Wiz and JJ become the dynamic point duo.

Sell. There's nothing to believe that our PP unit will jump 10+ spots. Our coaches are the same and our players are largely the same as well [Horton won't even be in until ~ half way through the season.] I could see us getting to the low 20's perhaps, but mid-teens seems like a dream.
Buy/Sell: Dorsett and Boll fight each other at least 2 times this season.

I have to speak out of turn on this one. I sell. Remember that Scott Arniel is a NYR assistant. As I recall, Brassard got into his doghouse quite early. I don't think his hiring as an assistant is going to be conducive the success of any former CBJ player on that team.

I think Vigneault is the perfect head coach for Brass. He played his best hockey post-injury under "players coaches" like Noel and Richards and I Vigneault is regarded as the ultimate players coach.
Remember, Arniel isn't going to be calling the shots.
Buy. 45 wins is average in the shootout era.
McElhinney starts 12 games or less.

I must agree with this point. And yet, his familiarity with all the former Jackets on that squad was probably a selling point. (evil laugh)
Oooh that's a tough one. I'm going to say Sell because you have Anisimov, Letestu and 2/3 of year from Horton that will challenge him.
RJ Umberger will return to form and have a season that will match or exceed his most recent contract year.

Sell. I think RJ has a good year, but I don't think he gets back to his peak level.
Ryan Murray makes the team out of camp and immediately makes Nikita Nikitin expendable.
Buy. Nikitin looked to be on his way out/down anyways.
Prout picks up where he left off last year and is a solid second pairing option.

These two consecutive are funny. Prout has a long way to go to offer as much to the roster as Nikitin. To the previous, I think even if Murray does excel and play his way onto the roster, it doesn't make Nikitin "expendable."
And I'm selling the Prout statement. If you'd have said "picks up where he left off last year and becomes a solid third pairing option," I'd have bought.
GMJK makes a significant roster move in November via trade or FA.
Understandable. I was a bit disappointed by Nikitin, but maybe I was spoiled by his 11-12 campaign.
And I'll buy that. Backup goalie.

Sell, just because one team has to have the room for him. But I wish I could buy and add that he then becomes an assistant coach with us.
Someone other than Wiz or Gaborik suffers a serious injury in the first quarter of the season.
Sell. Simply because we saw too many of our boys go down hard last year and I don't want to think about it happening again. First Wiz then Arty traumatized me that much.
