McJesus Christ. What a game by him.

O-zone felt different tonight. Don’t know if it was just Wings at 80% energy or our boys playing with extra patience and poise. But chances came easier again once we got moving in the o-zone. Finally culminated in 3rd period outburst with the help of some monster McDavid plays.

Nice to see Holloway get one with his signature high effort.

Nuge is a quiet player but you can’t question his skill and execution. When the oppurtunity arrises he’ll get his cookies.

Skinner not at his best. Slight confidence drop by him maybe but got the job done.

Skinner not at his best? He was fantastic tonight man. It's 6-3 going into the third without him

Not getting solid defending and getting nothing from depth players unless they're attached to one of McDavid or Draisaitl, these issues extend well before the ASB by the way. This is not a winning formula in terms of true Cup contention.
Not gonna critique the W but would be nice to spread out some of this scoring. Oilers pile in 8 tonight and yet have been having a ton of trouble scoring in 2024. Looks like some guys heard about it as well because I'm noticing some players digging down deeper in this one around the net.

Nuge for instance infinitely talented and with a good shot, but that was his first stellar goal in a longtime. Kane heating up again. WE got some streaky scoring.

Wings just didn't look like a good club tonight, but credit to the Oilers for making them run around. They didn't even have to defend a penalty tonight. Wings gave up 8EV goals and got lucky not giving up 4 more. Don't think much of their coach.

Anybody else it ridiculous how Jack was going on about the Holloway goal being a career defining moment?
Perhaps not. Young players have tenuous holds on NHL careers. I've seen so many players that just couldn't get that traction, couldn't get that big bounce and big goal. Its easy to lose confidence and not have it come back.

That said I've always felt Holloway has game and I think each goal helps him gain confidence that he needs.

Thing with Holloway is he hasn't been making great decision on ice in 200ft terms, so given that the guy has to produce a little.

Kane is going to easily get 30 goals and some oiler "fans" are still going to hate on him and defend brown.

I think you mean Kostin. It bugs me that fans were upset about Kostin as this amazing playoff performer that we needed to keep (3 goals in 12 playoff games with the Oilers) but then want to trade Kane who has 16 goals in 27 playoffs games with the Oilers. Makes no sense. I'm not even hating on Kostin, I'm just saying the Kane hate is unwarranted.

Oh... Did you ask about Rybelsus?
What is Rybelsus?

Brown is a mascot. Think about the Oilers won 16 games in a row. It never happened before and they did with Brown in the lineup. Coincidence? i don't think so. lol.

I think most people liked Kostin at around 1M, but not at what he actually got with Detroit. I think the same will happen with Foegele this offseason. A good depth player, but will not be worth the price for the oilers.

Forget the Kane hate, Leon f***ing Draisaitl gets skewered by 5 rage posts every other page around here.

Meanwhile the GDTs are full of posters rooting for Brown to score and talking about how close he is.
He's looked lackadaisical this year, but will probably still score 100 points. RNH is also queitly having another solid year. He won't score as much as last year, but still on pace for his second best season so far. So last year was not a fluke.
