based on what i've seen from Garrison im still not sold on him. I honestly think Aaron Rome is as good as him or better at least better defensively. I will Watch him more closely tonight hopefully he proves me wrong.

Not even close, you are wrong here on so many levels

Garrison is still adjusting to the new system, he's more like a Willie Mitchell type D-man. I don't expect him to put up 16 goals, but he's a rock. From White Rock.

This is what I've been saying when we were first complaining about our PP, it will make us more competent 5 on 5 which is a good thing imo.

Canucks don't need 5-on-5 work.

08/09 - 3nd overall in the league GF/GA
09/10 - 2nd overall
10/11 - 2nd overall
11/12 - 4th overall

Well it's better they're struggling on the PP than even strength.

If we start scoring on the PP, people will start complaining about 5 on 5 production.

as for garrison
there is an adjustment period....although he hasn't sparkled as great...he's brought steadiness to our top 4...and as for the big shot
..two things one is timing in new team...also being two nice I. trying to fit in..ie passing to the sedins or edler ..ie they are solid

also keep in mind the pp points edler has is due to the space that garrison creates due to teams unwilling to leave him open...ie can't concentrate on edler alone

surprising stats, thank you

I've seen us as more of a PP team in recent years (may just be me though). Another positive you can take from our struggling PP is that AV will now be pressured to change our very predictable power play. More options means a better PP for the playoffs when teams have scouted your special teams more.

One thing I will say that I don't think has been said enough is that I love the long term potential of that Hamhuis - Edler pairing.

They're slowly gelling, and while we don't have a Norris level defenseman, I'm really excited that that pairing can have the same impact as something like that. I love the fit, personally. I think Hamhuis' offensive game is really understated, effective, and a good fit with Edler's personally.

Garrison has not been up to speed, but he's working fine with Bieksa, IMO.

thats what iwas hoping for when we got him... But hes NOTHING like Mitchell .. Only a couple defenders in the league as good with their stick defensively as MItchell.. And oh Wait they are not playing anymore... Pronger and Lidstrom

I never liked Mitchell, something about him seemed off. He didn't mesh well with our locker room.

Mitchell was great (except his giveaway in the dying minutes against Chicago), and if it wasn't for Malkin being a dirty sob (and getting away with it like always) he'd probably still be a Canuck.

I think the first one "apology" entrance was just for show

SOB may be kinda of a dumbass, but at least he tries to stick up for our player. :handclap: At least he would have went after Duncan Keith if he was on the ice when sedin was hit.
