Necas will score 25-30 goals next year if there is a season! Vilardi will score 15 at the most!

After a year and a half out of hockey almost altogether and just walking right into his first pro season Gabe Vilardi was on pace for 25 NHL goals.

You're predicting a summer of rest and strengthening and skills building is going to make him regress 40%?

To tell you the truth Jesus, I don't see number 1 centre material in this lad. I hope I'm wrong

Is it too late to mention it's Blake's fault for that regression?

Vilardi had a higher points per game played among rookies last season than everyone except Cale Makar, Quinn Hughes, and Victor Olofsson.

That’s right: Vilardi had a higher points per game than Dominik Kubalik and Martin Necas.

Also, Blake Lizotte had a better rookie season than both Kakko and Hughes.

You are comparing Vilardi to Kubalik? Kubalik will score 40-50 goals next year! Love to wager on that! You've got to stop doing drugs its making you more delusional...Lizotte the 4th line Centre? On a Cup contender Lizotte is a 4th line Centre on the Kings...LMFAO,,,Necas is a helluva lot better than Vilardi...that's another bet I'd take! You guys have to wipe the bias crap from your ever murky minds and blood-shot eyes...lol...In a years time Necas will be a 2nd line centre and Vilardi a 3rd line RWinger

Vilardi was scoring at a .78PPG rate in Ontario and then carried it over to LA at a .70PPG rate. Excellent output for a first year pro season across 2 leagues even without the context of his crazy path to get there. Even more impressive when context is added. Vilardi wasn't brought up as a let's see what he's got call-up. He straight up played his way out of Ontario onto the big club through production and impact. Then proceeded to be one of the main reasons the Kings freaking rattled off 7 straight wins and tanked our tank. His presence helped energize the team.

I can confidently say, this won't be true at least in regards to Vilardi. Necas could be a decent 2nd line center in a year, he's a good player don't get me wrong.

For Vilardi though, really the only question is his health. If he can stay healthy, there's legitimately no way he's not a top 6 forward in a year. Saying he'll be a 3rd line RW in a year is super weird. He was better than that this year as a 20 year old coming off over a year of missed time. You really expect him to regress significantly in the next year??? That's a pretty weird prediction.

He's arguably the 2nd best forward in the entire Kings organization right now and he's only going to get better. I've literally seen fans of other teams talking about how good Vilardi is and how he'll be a legit 1C in a few years. Yes, we're Kings fans so we might be a little biased, but the fact is Vilardi is just a REALLY good player. Anyone who was paying attention saw him prove that this year. But for some reason you're determined he's going to be a below average player??? And not only that, but you talk about players on other teams like they're the next best thing to happen to hockey???

You wildin' on these boards man. Take a break.

Yep. Not at all betting against Necas, who is a stud in his own right. 2C? Absolutely. I can see that without fighting much.

Vilardi a 3RW? I WISH our 3RW was 25g 60p. Predicting regression is just weird. It's not homer bias at all, it's legitimate results so far. Even if he stagnates, that's 1RW production. That's Brown's best seasons.

What a sucker bet.

Predicting regression is stupid. But the concerns are that is he healthy or totally out from the roster for long periods? And his injury could kill some playoff run when everything looked perfect before that.

Your take on Vilardi is laughable...I was ecstatic when the Kings drafted him in 2017 but soon realized that with the injuries that he may not amount to much. Saw a few of his 10 games last year in a LA sweater. Even saw his first goal that he scored from inside the blueline that the goaltender obviously was asleep on...My initial thoughts were that Gabe is not a Centre but more suited for the RWing. As for his scoring exploits,c'mon man he played 10 games not 82...let him play 82 or 72 or 62 and see how may points he attains...30,40...The thing I worry about and that will haunt him his whole career is he sturdy enough, can he hold up the whole season...Hasn't played a whole season anywhere, ever,so that's the test!

Vilardi the second best forward in the organization right now...pretty high praise based on what your bias? C'mon man! He's probably the 8th or 9th right now...Kopi,Carts when he's healthy,Kempe,Frk,Yafallo,Turcotte,JAD,Byfield at 18...talking about another teams prospects, ever wonder why...LA overlooked RC Necas and took the cripple instead. Now I hope Vilardi does turn out to be our 2nd line centre but like I said he doesn't have the wheels to play there and from my vantage point is better suited for the RWing where he doesn't have to do as much defensively(going back deep into the D-zone) or lead a quick counter-attack the other way...

Calling Vilardi a cripple shows just how much of a dickhead you are.
