Artura has the best steering on the planet when it comes to new cars.

The build quality is ATROCIOUS.

Drove a 2007 F430. It was nice but probably not for me. I like cars a little smaller that fit like a glove.
F355 with Capristo Stage 3 exhaust and gated manual is what you want my guy. A literal orgasm every redline and much smaller footprint than the cars after it. Too bad the car is unmaintainable and unreliable but in terms of looks and sound it will make you cry.

Last great V8 Ferrari was the 458.

Top speed of 205? I get butterflies when I do anything past 100. (Any cops here, I'm joking), but the butterflies are for real.

458 is nice. It came after the F430.
355 looks a bit too dated for me but back in the day I loved them.

Yeah the 355 is very 90's I'll admit but that was a good decade lol.

I love the 360 as a car (more maintainable and reliable than the 355 and still sounds amazing when fitted with a Capristo/Kline/Tubi exhaust) but in terms of looks I'm not a big fan of the 360 or 430.

If I could have any two V8 Ferraris I'd probably have a 328 (easy to repair, old-school) and a 458 personally. The 355 GTS is my fave in terms of looks but it's impossible to maintain.

IN a past life I looked at the 308's and 328's. I love the Magnum cars. Back then I did not buy because they were considered slow and had a habit of going on fire.

I really like the 458 but its a totally different price range than the F430.

I like most Ferrari's including the 360. I watch them in auctions just incase one is at a price I can not pass up. I just think the F430 is a step up looks wise and speed wise.

For drivability I'm also considering a 718 S or GT. It is probably the best handling fun car I have ever driven. The response really feels like a race car.

Dude if you're looking for a manual sports car at a budget in the $100K range don't discount the Lotus Emira. Sounds good, handles great and has a hydraulic steering rack instead of the numb electronic ones. Lotus has their own problems so they aren't for everyone but I'd advise you to at least look into it if that's your budget range.

I love Caymans too, but not the 4-cyl turbo ones. I don't like turbos in performance cars personally.

I looked at the Emira this week. My local dealer had a bunch of them. It just did not fit what I wanted when I saw it in person. Cool looking car but I will pass especially since my dealer wants $25k over MSRP.

In regards to the 718's I know car magazines and some 911 folks (they get territorial) bashed the 4 cyl turbo but I drove the 6 cyl NA GT and the 4 cyl turbo S and I actually like the turbo S better. The throttle response at the lower RPMs was so cool. Basically do not get out of 2nd gear till around 65 MPH. I also enjoyed the sound in sport mode. If you look at the numbers the S version specs are very similar to the GT 6 NA. The speed and HP are about equal. I also already have a large 3.2 liter NA M Roadster.

Speaking of 458's I see one at a very fair price but looking at the pics I do not like the front lights. I love it in white though especially the sides and the back.

25k over for a f***ing Lotus? Nuh uh, those things are going for MSRP or below on carsandbids and the like.

Yeah it's just personal preference. I don't really care about low-end push from a sports car, I like to wind them out and hear them and turbos are often a sock in the mouth. I couldn't care less about the regular C8 Corvette but absolutely love the C8 Z06 to the ends of the earth for example, so that's where I'm coming from.

That is an ABSURDLY good deal on a 458 Spider with a clean title. It does look great in white as well. It's a late model year too! I wish I had $200K to spare. Be careful what you wish for, I know, but daaaamn.

Yeah the dealer had 2 different markups. One called a price adjustment and another called something else. I'd be surprised if they go for under MSRP because just a month ago I posted a BAT auction and even on the auction site I think it went for $13k over MSRP.

If I just wanted a big engine then the Ferrari F430 and the Vettes would appeal more to me. I loved my previous 2 Vettes but its a totally different experience for me. I want a car that fits like a glove. I want to be part of the car. Some of the most fun cars I have had were Miatas. The 718 S is like a Miata that can do 0-60 in 4 seconds. The 4 liter 718GT is basically the same time 0-60. The 911 Carrera may be 1/10 of a second faster but doesn't handle nearly as well. You should go test drive a 718 S. Make it a manual and put it in sport mode with the chrono package. It was the most responsive car I have ever driven. I had 2 previous Porsches years ago. You might be surprised. :)

I always keep my eyes peeled for used 718's because I think it's the logical leap from my beloved 2014 BRZ. Lightweight, nimble, enough power to be fun, excellent steering feel. I have two requirements: Must be manual, and at least rear wheel drive. Though I'll admit, the whispers of a new Celica GT-4 has my ears perked up. I have an Evo 9 back in the early 2ks, and though I had to sell it (thanks american healthcare system!), I still regret doing so to this day. I really do just prefer rear wheel drive cars. I'd rather control oversteer than understeer, plus drifting is very, very fun.

There's actually a former Forumal Drift pro currently developing a 718 specifically for drifting. He seems to absolutely adore it.

If you grab a 718 MT try to get the S version. Both are great but the S is even greater. The sound and response of the 718 in sport mode was a lot of fun 😊

I don't have that S money. lol It'd be the turbo 4cyl for me, which to be honest, I enjoy.

I may just throw a turbo at my BRZ. I truly, truly love that little car. It's right around the advertised 200hp, as it's got aftermarket headers, exhaust, intake and a really good tune. SUPER responsive, no torque dip. Not to mention the amount of suspension work I've done to it. It's quick, not fast. It's also more or less set up as a drift car, but handles corners extremely well in terms of pure grip. I never leave cars stock. There's no fun in that. lol

If you are happy with what you have thats the best scenario. Im not familiar with the BRZ. I will look in to them just to see what you have.

The 718 S is a 4cyl turbo. Its just the larger 4cyl turbo. If building new it is around a $12,000 option. The 718 S version gets 355 hp which is very similar to the 718GT and also the 911 Carrera.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but if you're looking into GTI/Golf R check out the GR Corolla and Elantra N. Both are in the same realm of performance as the Golf R on a road course and check all the daily drivable boxes

Good luck finding a GR Corolla for anywhere near MSRP.

Ok scratch that off the list then. I would chew glass before paying ADM on a Corolla.

Used Cadillac ATS-V is another good option. Will wax all the above mentioned on a road course fairly easily. Can be had with a manual, but they're harder to find

What do you guys think of the white and black car color combination?

The Porsche Chrono package is incredible for people that like stick shifts. It has a couple of amazing features at the end of this video I never heard of. It has an autostart if you stall out. Also has an auto hold if you are on a hill. Really cool stuff.

My car has the auto hold on hills too. It’s pretty sweet.

I saw a white 944 last week. IMO the most beautiful car ever made.

I never heard of auto hold before today. Shows how old my cars are usually.

I liked the 944 but the 944 turbo front bumper was much better looking in my opinion and more fun as well.

I looked at the BRZ yesterday. Looks like a fun ride. Has your search slowed?

Has anyone ever gone through the lemon law process before? I leased my wife a new Palisade and we are about to take the car back for the same repair for the third time. Substantial repair too, loss of all power to the dashboard so effectively, she has no speedometer, no ability to see RPM's, etc. ,
