Just my opinion, but I think we took big steps since the last two years. (Tonight excluded as a dumpster fire ofc). Imagine how different this series would look with Nino and Tro in it?

We need to be better, but I don't feel like it's some uncrossable chasm either.

I would argue we couldn’t overcome a couple of injuries. We have more depth than last year, but obviously not enough. Now we’re counting on Aho and TT to save us again. Didn’t work last year. Svech and Necas are what remains of the new depth and......derp.

That’s what frustrates me the most. They scored 4 down Trocheck and Nino. That should have us excited.

Mrazek didn’t deserve to lose the job in the first place but he was hurt and people get hot. We over rate Ned and under rate Pete.

I haven’t seen one Ned would’ve stopped yet. Especially the last one. We’re the only fan base I’ve seen blame their own goalie for a two on one well executed by the leagues former leading scorer.

Lol, what? Didn't Ned lead the league in save % and GAA? It was a two on one five hole shot from a mile away because Mrazek was cheating on the shot side. Whatever goal the glove save bobble was Ned definitely saves. Why are we making excuses for Mrazek allowing six but didn't when Ned allowed two?

Seriously? Those pp half empty net cross ice passes were on Mrazek? Or the back door to Point?

How was Mrazek “cheating”?!? Kuch and Mackinnon are the most dangerous players in the world and Kuch is the smartest. It’s natural to assume someone is shooting far side off that pass, it’s where everyone would shoot. Beat him to the open side. The obvious hole is the gap between the legs as he makes the huge push to go post to post, if you miss the stick. It was a smart shot. Kuch leads the league because of plays like that.

And it’s just common sense no odd man rush goal is on the goalie. Ever.

No, we’re not far off. Tampa is in the middle of a run like the Hawks and Pens were a few years back and we’re the ones they are pushing out of the way. We’re not there quite yet. Need to address a few more things but our time will come.

Rod lost this game when he didn't pull Mrazek in the 2nd. He wasn't at fault for every goal, but wasn't helping with terrible rebound control and 2 goals at fault. Team quit.

I'm starting to worry if there is a very real ceiling on how far Brindy can take us. This team has some serious mental problems that have been consistent in the playoffs the last 3 years and are not improving at all
