I've poked my head into the Jack Eichel megathread occasionally, and they want a bonafide blue chipper, we're talking one of New York's two recent 1stOA, or Byfield or Turcotte from LA. Carolina doesn't have that, the closest they have is Necas.

It was a gamble going with Mrazek in the last game. Rod said so himself. He played well enough for the win. Letting him go again, IMO, another roll of the dice. He's played very little this season. I'm not putting the loss on him, but folks saying Ned doesn't stop any of the 6 are selling him short. He played phenomenally well to get them to this point, and a few soft goals doesn't change that. The bottom line is no one knows. We all need something to blame after gut wrencher like that. The correctionists will campaign as they always do, but as stated let the people rant. There are plenty of reasons this was a loss. Take your pick.

We’re three seasons into being a good team and all our best players are still in their early and mid 20s.

I’m disappointed but I was also emotionally prepared. Because I don’t think this team is veteran enough or experienced enough to go all the way. And even if they were that has to coincide with some injury luck which we’ve obviously not had.

good season, one more game at home to say goodbye.
