I'm afraid to ask...can someone explain why Richardson had to sell the team yet we allow rapists and murderes to still play?
Because of "Jeans day." Honestly I don't think JR did all that much significantly wrong, not any more than someone like Jerry Jones and not to the point of deserving to get forced out. I think JR always cared more about the league as a whole than himself or the Panthers and when that situation happened he figured it was in the best interest of the league for him to just go quietly and not fight it. I don't think there was enough there to force him out if he was younger and wanted to fight it. But he was in his 80s and decided to just let it go. Didn't help him that one of his kids died of cancer pretty young and the other was a major f*** up, so he wasn't going to be able to pass the team down anyways.

I always had huge respect for JR bringing the NFL to the Carolinas but never thought he was a great owner. A couple SB appearances was nice but ultimately seemed more like one off runs than any true success. The team still has never even had back to back winning seasons which is just flat out embarrassing. Obviously I'd love to have JR back over Tepper since somehow things got significantly worse since the sale but neither is ideal. Still kinda bummed that SC billionaire whose name I forget didn't get the team -- he actually had ties to the area and was a big sports guy in general (I think his dad was a long time football coach and he played tennis or something). Tepper I don't think has ever played a sport in his life and is very clearly out of his element.

Im shocked at how bad Reich is but I'm also not shocked. We have a lot of old men in our coaching staff and I am not sure we have enough young voices with authority. Reichs offense is the lamest west coast offense ive ever seen and by far the least exciting.

I still have no idea how we are unable to run the ball. How is our Offensive Line so garbage when we supposedly retained super coach James Campen?

Why is Fitterer allowed to make shitty pick after shitty pick and face no consequences? We traded UP for a guy at pick #80 and he cant even get a jersey on gameday!

We have no talent on the team and nothing to be excited about. No high pick and our 2nd rounders have historically not gotten us anywhere.

We are in for at least 5 more years of suffering. At least.

The beautiful thing about being a Hurricanes fan is that we get a few weeks to see if the Panthers still suck, we know the Hornets perpetually suck, and after watching the Premier League I can't be bothered with the trash that is Charlotte FC. Once opening night comes, I can forget that Charlotte sports exists.

I remember being as diehard for the Panthers as I am for the Hurricanes. Strangely enough it wasn't the 1-15 years that broke me. It was the multiple 7-9 years where we were just good enough to keep it close but you could set your clock to us losing in the 4th quarter. I guess I can't be bothered to love teams that don't love me back anymore.

Well one positive is we can throw a screen and not automatically lose 2 yards
