Planning for Ward to be out for the season already? That seems a bit premature.

I wonder if we have been lied to about Ward being fully healthy. The claim by that poster (who was verified as a legit source) that Khudobin turned down a two-year deal at $2M/yr from Philadelphia to sign here at 800k because he thought he had a better chance at starting here makes me wonder. Why would Khudobin think he has a better chance at starting over Cam Ward than Steve Mason unless Ward is not healhty?

I wouldn't say that's out of the question. I didn't see this injury but there have been several times when he got up looking a little sore. Like that time in the shootout against the Kings (I think) when he got up slowly.

Not necessarily, but with Ward and Anton probably out for the next few games, we can go ahead and add a few more losses to our record.

I will say that, being as objective as possible and trying to fight back my irrational anger at Peters for just being a part of this organization, neither of those goals was COMPLETELY egregious on his part.

I think that's what horrifies me the most; we KNOW it's going to get worse.

I'm planning on just missing the playoffs. I figure Ward will be out just long enough for that. Though truthfully I think if this season will be salvaged it will because of Khudobin's return. Even if Ward recovers physically, I don't see how mentally he can jump back into the flow after two lower body injuries.

The initial shot on the 2nd (the post hit) shouldn't have gotten by. Peters thought he had the angle, you can see him attempt a weak shoulder save, but he was way off
