Looks like devils were not able to scare the Canes after all. They were spooky for the game I attended in person at least (Game 3)

Canes are going to have to play way better in the second round. The Devils were decimated with injuries and kept the series close.

The result of this series was determined on March 2nd. Good effort from New Jersey to push Carolina more than expected. Devils fans should be proud.

I get they were missing Jack but it’s not a great look for Keefe when his entire team goes MIA for the last four periods of a must win game.
Canes look incredibly average, which was kinda shocking to me tbh.
Stranger things have happened but this looks like another trademark 2nd round exit for Rod and his crew.

Said it in the GDT but really proud of this Devils team for leaving it all out there like they did. Team was hobbled and without their best players and still made it interesting.

You're right ....When i did tune in the hockey was fun .......Boring and predictable result for a neutral observer but whatever.......
GGs Canes, we just weren't good enough to overcome key injuries.
Pesce giving everyone giant bear hugs in the handshake line makes me so sad. He belongs on the Canes. He’s a Cane. The whole situation stinks.
I mean, this is arguably the weakest roster the Canes have had in this era. Last season was the go for it year; they failed. This turned out, after the Rantanen circus, to be a transitional roster. Any round wins beyond this is exceeding expectations.

Just not Jersey's year with Jack Hughes and half their defence injured.
It’s the weakest roster they’ve had in this era, it’s also arguably the easiest path to at least the ECF in this era. So… maybe those things balance out.
They really elevated their compete level after a terrible game 1. Plenty to be proud of.
I don't think anyone is really scared of Caps/Toronto. FLA is the scariest but how many teams make it there 3 in a row? Canes best chance is here. Just gotta hope LAK/STL or someone odd comes out of the west. I don't think they'd beat DAL/COL/WPG if we assume one of those made the final, if they do that they're probably playing really well and are just a step above
