Have Connor Hellebuyck surpassed Carey Price at this point based on accolades alone or he still needs a dominant playoffs run ?

Helleybucks season might even surpass Price's MVP this year if he wins the MVP.... in a higher scoring environment as well
Helleybuck is the better goalie. Doesn’t mean Price wasn’t elite. But in my books Helley is the GOAT in terms of what he can do against the players of today.
Come on man, with that logic it’d mean Price is better than Roy, Brodeur, etc.
One season doesn’t make a career. You could argue he have the highest peak of the two, even though after this season it’ll most likely be debatable, but Hellebuyck already win on career and prime.

His 2017-18 run is better than any Price run outside of 2020-21 tbh…

Look at their playoff careers. This isn’t even close. Price carried a terrible Habs team for years.

Price was largely an exceptional playoff goaltender. Hellebuyck hasn't been yet. At some point the regular season accolades will probably outweigh the difference in playoff performances (or Hellebuyck could have a great playoff run, which I would prefer), but I don't think we've hit that point yet.
People vastly underestimate how bad the post-D-exodus Winnipeg Jets were. The 2019 Jets finished with 99 points, and lost Byfuglien, Trouba, Myers, and Chiarot, and replaced them with Pionk and various #7-9 D-men. For all intents and purposes, they lost Morrissey too, as he was going through off-ice issues (sick dad) which resulted in his worst season as a pro.

Goal support is the key here. Jets have always had good offensive forwards. Habs played to win 1-0 every night

No, he was. Despite those four playoffs, only a handful goalies in the history of the league comes close to his combination of games played in the playoffs and his playoff save percentage.
Mostly because in the 6 other playoff runs you left out, he never finished with a lower than .919 save percentage, and had 3 runs with a >.930 save percentage.

Exactly. Until Hellybuck shows up in the playoffs he isn't in the same league as Price.
The “he did it on shit teams” argument have always been so weird to me and it’s mostly a thing for modern goalies. Like literally no one says things like “Tomas Vokoun is better than Patrick Roy because he carried teams that sucked”.

For what it's worth - in the recently completed Top 60 Goaltenders of All-Time project in the History forum, they were ranked right after each other on the list. Price was 21st, Hellebuyck was 22nd.
