Francis runs the entire organization from draft to league assignment to overseeing the Checkers to hiring and overseeing the entire coaching staff... that’s more power than anyone else in the organization has over the product we’re seeing right now.

I get that the buck stops at the top and all, what is a GM's foremost responsibility, putting a roster together. I don't know that the roster is the problem, sure it has holes but I think everybody can agree there's no way they should be THIS bad.

Before the season started everyone was touting Ronnie as a god... I know with hindsite it’s easy to criticize moves(not saying you are) but I’m still thinking he’s built a good team...it needs a new voice... lots of teams on the cusp have been ignited by a change... our d is still great, forwards young and fast, Darling isn’t playing horrible and hasn’t been our problem... obviously my opinion but I’m still happy with the moves Ronnie is making... I’m not however happy with how the team is being coached

Like I said — I think he has the right vision.

But at the same time, if it’s some random jackwipe as GM and not a franchise legend, I have a feeling that we’d be a bit less forgiving about things like having a team effectively devoid of serious scoring threats except for the guy we drafted like 8 years ago.

I just kind of disagree, every pundit has said this team should be a playoff team.

obviously it hasn't happened but that's come down to things that not a lot of people expected.

I don't see a lot of blame to throw at francis. Other than Derek Ryan still having an NHL contract

I think Francis is getting a pass, because we've got a team that had 8 40 point guys, 2 All-star dmen, 2 top 10 pick dmen, The only superstar offensively is Skinner, but you should be able to get goals and defense out of this group.

This team is lost... they have been playing hard, skating fast, shooting constantly and still losing... Peters used to say “I have the hammer... ultimately it’s the icetime” yet he continues happily playing plugs like Ryan with no accountability and sitting players like McGinn and Jorris who have been playing great... the team noticed this crap and IMO are beginning the process of tuning him out...only so long you can do the same thing Game after game with the same results without starting to question direction and leadership

Btw I don’t mean mcginn and jorris are all stars... just that they have been playing great and don’t deserve to have good game and benched... it makes no sense to me
