This guy played for my Leafs back in the day. And he has got some serious speed. And he's big and kills penalties. Big upgrade on their third line wing over Pratt or Wingels. Good pick for the Sens.

In an average draft. This is a weak one. lol
Anything outside the top 50 picks is pretty much a crapshoot.

That's true for every draft. Even so, I like what the Canes have done though in rounds 2+ in recent years:

Dumoulin (2nd), Faulk (2nd), Rask (2nd), McGinn (2nd), Slavin (4th), Pesce (3rd), Aho (2nd), Roy (4th), etc...

Stalberg's pretty decent for a 4th liner. Granted, he has zero brains or hands. But he generally takes care of his assignments and provides a little spark offensively and on the forecheck.

IMO a 3rd was about right for him. I don't feel like we ripped Ottawa off here.

Should run a line of Burrows - Wingles - Stalberg

I actually think that could be good.

I see a very desperate team right now. Maybe trying to get that sweet first round playoff revenu at all cost?

Honestly this playoff format probably makes a run more possible.

With the Pens/Caps in the Metro, you won't have to face either until the ECF if you finish top 3 in the Atlantic, which is a pretty wide-open division.

Sens loading up on the garbage again, I have seen this movie before in Ottawa, guessing teams are lining up to fleece Dorion now....I am concerned for his mental well being.

Dahlen + 3rd for Burrows + Stalberg is probably an easier pill to swallow for Sens fans. Stalberg is underrated.

Ott aren't going anywhere, they are not a cup contender team and considering their depth, prospect pool and picks; they won't be a cup contender for at least the next 10 years.

Stålberg has no hands and tunnel vision, but he's big, fast and works hard. Use him properly and he should be fine.

Lol a 3rd for Stalberg is a very fair deal. Sens biggest weakness was there bottom 6 and special teams. Both were upgraded over the last 2 days

Pretty much every Canes fan thinks this is a decent deal for Ottawa, so not sure why others are saying overpayment.

For sure. People aren't realizing just how bad the Sens 4th line has been this year. Its literally losing them games. By far their biggest area of weakness.
