Aho, while pointless, had another good game. He was a game high +4, and him giving De Haan the old reverse hit was beautiful.

Lindholm stepping up on Clutterbuck after he went after Skinner was yuge. And he had two assists. With those he's now on pace for a 50 point year over a full season.

Cam was lucky the skaters picked tonight to go off.

I made a couple burgers topped with fried egg for dinner and they were amazing. Perfect meal for a perfect game.

Even though this was an actual penalty shot and not a shootout goal per se, the concept of a player walking in on a goalie without a chase is unnatural to the sport. They should eliminate the shootout, yes and introduce a chaser from the blue line in a penalty shot. This goal by skinner is bogus.

I’ve been pretty critical of Hanifin this season, but he deserves credit for how he’s responded to the increased minutes post-Hainsey. It’s not that he’s been making a noticeable impact. He just hasn’t been the liability that he was at times this season. He's playing a steady game right now. I think that’s very encouraging.

For the organization, a solid finish to Hanifin’s season will give them more flexibility in terms of the quality of defenseman they may pursue in the offseason.

Well, he was at least 1/3rd responsible for the Gionta goal, so maybe you are on to something.

I posted this in the other thread...in the 3 games against the Isles this year, the Canes have scored 12% of their total goals on the season.
