I suspect he'd be going at it a little harder if they controlled their own destiny. He's a competitive guy who wants the team to be competitive and achieve things.

As it is now, it's a real long shot that the cards fall perfectly. That's not worth giving our playoff opponents free shots at grinding down our top players, especially in light of Slavin. Rod's competitive but he's also smart.

They have a single path forward which involves them beating Nashville Monday, Vegas losing its last two games to Colorado and San Jose and then Colorado losing at least one game to Los Angeles.
That is the only path for Carolina to win the President’s Trophy.

The President's Trophy winner wins the cup more often than any other seed. You can't compare the 1 seed versus seeds 2-15 and imagine in any way that it's a valid comparison. This is hockey, not the NBA. It's actually competitive.

It may be pointless, cause we're going to be playing them in the playoffs, but I want to beat them and hope Vegas loses out so we can get the Presidents' Trophy.

The President's Trophy was a fun challenge (and I guess still a small possibility), but I agree that at the end of the day, the ultimate aim is the Cup.

PT or not, I'll always remember this regular season fondly.

Really? Cause like 3 versions ago I tried goalie and said nevermind! Go back to being a skater you are good at that.

Speaking on NHL games my current play through has a top line of me, Svech, and Seabass. If I wasn't busy I would get you that stats but its truly unreal the amount of goals and points we have. I lead the league in goals with Aho and Svech right behind me. Aho leads in points. I only play 1 game per scheduled week so these are mostly stats from simming games.
